CHATEAU PRIEURE SAINTE ANNE
About the Winery
Château Prieuré Sainte Anne is located on the hillsides overlooking the right bank of the Garonne, 20km South of Bordeaux.
On a clayey-gravelly hilltop, the Priory of Sainte Anne benefits from a remarkably drained subsoil. Superbly facing South, it is exposed to the warm rays of the Summer sun. The 4ha is planted with 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. A new part of 0,5ha of Cabernet Franc was planted in 2025.
About the Wines
This property has been owned by the Belgian couple Herwig and Annelies Callewier-Corne since 2018. Annelies is the winemaker, and she has adopted strict rules (sustainable viticulture HVE4) for the production of their wines: small yields to obtain full maturity of the bunches, vinification of individual parcels, and ageing in French oak for a minimum of 12 months, or even 24 months for the special cuvée La Rebelle.
Château Prieuré Sainte Anne can be consumed very quickly after bottling, but is best stored for 5 to 8 years.
