About Winery and Wines
Located in Heiligenstein, Alsace, Domaine Heywang is a charming family-run winery that spans 7 hectares of organically cultivated vines. Nestled at the foot of Mont Sainte-Odile, our estate features cellars right in the heart of the vineyards. We grow all the classic Alsatian grape varieties, including the unique Savagnin Rose, which is used to produce Klevener de Heiligenstein, a local specialty since 1742.
Our winemaking philosophy is rooted in artisanal practices that respect nature's rhythms. Since 2011, we have been certified organic, avoiding chemical herbicides and insecticides while focusing on controlled yields. This commitment allows our terroirs to express their true character in every bottle.
Our wines, ranging from dry to sweet, often benefit from extended aging in the bottle, with a special emphasis on Klevener de Heiligenstein, a rare and ancient grape variety exclusive to Alsace.

Our Alsatian Wines: Klevener de Heiligenstein and Beyond
As Alsatian winemakers, we craft exceptional wines in our Heiligenstein cellar, specializing in the rare Klevener de Heiligenstein and all major Alsatian grape varieties, including the prestigious Grands Crus Kirchberg de Barr. Our wines reflect the beauty of our steep, sun-drenched hillside terroirs, cultivated through biodynamic viticulture.
Our Wine Varieties
We produce Klevener de Heiligenstein in four styles:
Dry: Crisp, with peach and citrus notes, ideal for seafood.
Off-Dry (Demi-Sec): Slightly sweet, with apricot and pear, perfect for spicy dishes.
Moelleux: Rich, honeyed, pairs well with desserts or foie gras.
Liquoreux: Intensely sweet, with dried fruit and spice, great for special occasions.
We also craft wines from all Alsatian grape varieties, such as Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, and more, alongside our renowned Grands Crus Kirchberg de Barr, known for their elegance and minerality.
Our Cellar
Based in Heiligenstein, our cellar combines tradition with biodynamic principles. We hand-harvest grapes from our exceptional hillside terroirs to create authentic, expressive wines that honor Alsace’s heritage.
