Eredi dei Papi is a distinguished winery located in the heart of Italy, in Castelli Romani area, few minutes from Rome. Founded by siblings Chiara and Lorenzo Iacoponi, the winery is known for its rich heritage and commitment to excellence in winemaking and takes pride in producing high-quality wines that embody the unique characteristics of its terroir.

Vineyards are managed on organic production, where the respect for the raw material is at the heart of the winery's philosophy.

About the Wines

Eredi dei Papi wines are produced from historical vineyards that the owners' grandfather, Francesco Papi, planted back in the 1990s. Today, the winery's everyday job is to preserve this heritage, in order to express the full potential of both the territory and grape varieties.

The winery produces some very important local varieties, such as Malvasia Puntinata and Grechetto as far as white grapes are concerned; Cesanese, Syrah and Montepulciano as regards red varieties.

Winery visit

Very beautiful place, very kind staff and an interesting wine tasting with quality appetizers. Friendly atmosphere.
The wines I tried were all very good, my favorite: Schietto.

Very pleasant and highly recommended

The Eredi dei Papi winery is located near Colonna, it is easy to reach with GPS and, above all, it is in a beautiful spot. Mostly family-run, the welcome is very courteous and down-to-earth. The people are all extremely knowledgeable: the tour of the winery is very interesting, our guide was Giulia, who was great, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. You can clearly perceive that this is a very serious company with a very modern approach aimed at maximizing quality by marrying it with tradition. The wine tasting is very well done and the wines are excellent. The products for sale are also interesting because they complement the wines with other local, always quality-oriented products. Recommended, I would go back.
I don't know if it's already planned, but I would like to come back for longer tastings that include food, even for a fee.

A lovely tasting

A very nice experience; they welcomed us very well and accompanied us into the vineyards to tell us about the various types of cultivation and harvesting. The tasting was magnificent. Excellent wines accompanied by an abundant charcuterie board. We bought some wine and will definitely return to this beautiful place with friends.

A beautiful Saturday morning

Last week we celebrated our anniversary with an excellent tasting of wines and typical products at this very beautiful farm, immersed in the green of the vineyards and olive groves of the Castelli Romani. The facility is modern and we tasted some excellent wines on a terrace enclosed by a glass wall, ideal for all seasons. Fortunately the day was sunny, so we could also enjoy the view of the vineyard. Chiara, the girl who showed us around the vineyard, as well as the owner along with her brother, was very kind and very precise in her explanations. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, definitely an experience to be repeated and highly recommended, truly suitable for all needs. Congratulations to the young owners!
