About Winery and Wines
Fattoria di Bacchereto was born on the hills of Carmignano, in a unique scenario that opens from Florence to Pistoia, surrounded by the woods of Montalbano.
The estate has ancient origins, dating back to the 15th century with the Medici family.
Over the years the estate became the property of the Bencini Tesi family and the turning point came in the 1960s with the start of oil and wine production. In 2002, the estate was consecrated to biodynamic methods, with the aim of preserving the places and the nature that surrounds it in the most careful and loving way possible.
The vineyards of the Fattoria di Bacchereto cover about 8 hectares of the estate, at an altitude of between 200 and 500 metres above sea level, and include Trebbiano, Sangiovese, Canaiolo nero and Cabernet Sauvignon vines.
In the wine cellar, a wine is produced from indigenous yeasts, without any help from chemicals.
The mainstay of the estate is, of course, Carmignano, a wine made from a blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo nero and Cabernet Sauvignon, which perfectly reflects the principles of biodynamics and is capable of expressing a great personality.
