Feudi Di San Gregorio Spa

Winery in Irpinia

About the Winery

Feudi di San Gregorio, located in Campania, is the leading winery of southern Italy. Founded in 1986, today Feudi is owned by the Capaldo family and produces 3.5 million bottles annually from a total of 300 hectares of vineyards in the Irpinia territory. The winery is based in Sorbo Serpico in the province of Avellino, where they aim to restore and revamp local wine production through a high quality, modern approach. When many producers in Italy uprooted old vines in favor of international grape varieties, Feudi held fast to the local heritage and continued to cultivate native varieties like white Greco di Tufo, Fiano di Avellino, Falanghina, and red Aglianico.

About the Wines

Today, the wine production includes a wide range of whites and reds, with the pride of their production Irpinia Aglianico DOC “Serpico”, a powerful red made from the historical vineyard Dal Re, “of the King”.

Superb experience
The wine tasting at Feudi di San Gregorio was an absolutely pleasant and very interesting experience for us, as we have only recently approached this marvelous world!

Special mention for the sommelier Federica who made us feel at ease while always remaining very professional and detailed in her explanations, and who, on top of that, is also very friendly!!!

The FEUDI STUDI section was very fascinating: (Greco di Tufo and Sirico our favorites of the selection) accompanied by a tasting of excellent cheeses and cured meats

Summary: in a stunning, modern facility with great attention to detail, tasting excellent Campanian wines guided by competent staff ready to answer every question! What else?
Highly recommended!

Great visit, fabulous wines
We visited in October 2024 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were guided through the vines, the collection bays, into the cellar and the explanations were detailed and very interesting. The wine tasting was great, and very generous. The red Serpico was wonderful and the Greco white. The San Greg Rose is also lovely as an aperitif.

Wine and Design
As soon as you enter, you breathe an air that is anything but simple and informal.
A structure conceived by a Japanese architect, the entire winery is designed in the name of modernity and technological progress in the field of enology, without however neglecting tradition.
The tasting room is highly refined and gives you the chance to taste all of their wines, accompanying them with genuine and flavorful local products.
An experience to have at least once in a lifetime for all wine enthusiasts in Campania, regardless of whether they may prefer their wines or not.
