About Winery and Wines

Speaking with the elderly you can hear words “italianized” from dialect, filarole is one of these: in the Piacenza dialect, filaröl are rows and small vineyards. To take care our “filarole” we have chosen organic agriculture, lots of manual work, respect for these plants and for the territory. We have chosen to keep the old vine plants: our vineyards are between 30 and 100 years old.

We live and work on the beautiful hills of Tidone valley, the first of Emila Romagna. Each vineyard offers a different landscape and visiting vines also means to explore a wonderful territory with a long history of winemaking.

Vineyard wines, small quantities, old vines cultivated with respect, recovery of traditions. This is where our wines come from.

We choose the bunches one by one, eliminating those that are not perfect in order to work in the cellar without adding anything to the grapes except a few sulphites just when needed. We try to obtain wines that respect the territory, local traditions and the vintage. The grapes are mainly those of Piacenza: aromatic Malvasia di Candia, Ortrugo and Trebbiano with white grapes, Barbera and Croatina with red grapes.

We make the wines we like to drink and hope you will love to share: just still, dry wines, intensive and rich of flavour: orange wines, a rosé wine and a variety of red wines that offer an idea of our terroir.
