Gabriele Mazzeschi

Winery in Valdichiana

About the Winery

Gabriele Mazzeschi Winery was founded in 2010, driven by Gabriele's passion for winemaking and his commitment to preserving his family's heritage. The story of the estate, however, began four generations earlier with his great-grandfather, Michele Giusti, who laid the foundations of the family farm, Le Capanne.

Building on this legacy, Gabriele transformed the winery by introducing organic farming practices, with the goal of producing authentic, high-quality wines that truly reflect the character of the land. Respect for nature, tradition, and sustainability remains at the heart of every step of the winemaking process.

Today, visitors are invited to discover the estate through a guided experience that includes a walk through the vineyards, a visit to the winery and cellar, and a tasting of the estate's wines. Each tasting is accompanied by a selection of carefully chosen local specialties, offering an authentic journey into the flavors and traditions of Tuscany.

About the Wines

Gabriele Mazzeschi's vineyards are home to both native Tuscan and international grape varieties. The estate grows Sangiovese, Syrah, Canaiolo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Trebbiano, Malvasia, and Vermentino.

- Mezzavia is a fresh and elegant blend of 75% Trebbiano and 25% Malvasia, offering delicate floral aromas, crisp acidity, and the authentic character of traditional Tuscan white grapes.

- Anfora Bianco is made from 100% Vermentino and vinified in a traditional ceramic amphora. This ancient winemaking technique enhances the grape's natural freshness, minerality, and aromatic complexity, creating a unique and expressive white wine.

- Foramacchie is our signature Tuscan blend, composed of 95% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. It combines the elegance and vibrant acidity of Sangiovese with the structure and depth of Cabernet Sauvignon.

- Commendatore is a 100% Syrah, a full-bodied and refined wine with intense aromas of dark berries, spices, and black pepper, balanced by smooth tannins and a long finish.

- Anfora Rosso is produced from 100% Canaiolo and vinified in a ceramic amphora, allowing the wine to develop softness and a genuine expression of this historic Tuscan grape variety.

- Fontemazza is our passito, crafted according to Tuscan tradition. Patiently aged to develop exceptional richness and complexity, it offers notes of dried fruit, honey, nuts, and caramel, making it the perfect conclusion to any tasting experience.
