Companhia de Vinhos Invencível was founded in 2020 by renowned winemakers Rita Marques and Marc Kent, bringing together Portuguese and South African winemaking expertise in a unique and ambitious project rooted in the Douro Valley.

Before creating Invincible Wines, the two winemakers had already collaborated during several harvests — in South Africa between 2015 and 2017, and later in Portugal in 2018 and 2019. Building on this shared experience and vision, they decided to take a greater step together by acquiring an estate in Casais do Douro, which became both their first joint property and the home of the Invencível brand.

The winery reflects a philosophy focused on authenticity, terroir expression, and minimal intervention winemaking, combining tradition with an international perspective. Located in one of the most iconic wine regions of Portugal, Invencível Wines aims to produce elegant and distinctive wines that express the character and resilience of the Douro landscape.

The project focuses on producing elegant field blends sourced from exceptional old vineyards surrounding the estate. The Invincible number ones are vibrant and approachable wines crafted from 30+ year-old vineyards, offering freshness, versatility, and lively character ideal for everyday enjoyment. The Invincible number twos, sourced from even older vineyards, reveal a deeper and more textured expression of the Douro, with savoury complexity and remarkable depth.

Through minimal intervention and a profound respect for the land, Invincible Wines represents a modern tribute to the ancient vineyards and timeless traditions of the Douro Valley.
