Cantina Juvara – A Story of Family, Territory, and Passion

Cantina Juvara is a small, family-run winery rooted in the heart of Daunia, in northern Puglia, between Lucera, Troia, and Pietramontecorvino. Ours is an authentic story, one of land, dedication, and a love of work, passed down through generations.

The entire family is involved in the project, at every stage of production. At the heart of the project is our father, Tommaso, a solid and tireless figure, the true cornerstone of the company. To whom we dedicated our "Masorosso" label—a name that combines "maso" ("Maso" → symbolizing rural work, family, and peasant origins) and "rosso," symbolizing the strength and work of his hands.

Our mother, Carmela, a silent but constant presence, is our guiding light: always on, shining, and alert. "Armerosa" is dedicated to her, a wine that expresses her warmth and sweetness, but also her firmness.

Our three children carry on this legacy with pride and vision. Pasquale, the owner and creator of the bottling process, has given the winery its current form, focusing entirely on quality and independent production. He knows every vine, oversees every fermentation, and is the guardian of our artisanal philosophy. Gianni oversees production and the final stages of the supply chain. Finally, Antonietta is dedicated to sales and marketing, and also supports production: she is responsible for promoting our wines, telling their story with passion and consistency.

At Cantina Juvara, every bottle contains not only the fruit of our land, but also the history of our family, the value of handcrafted work, and the identity of a company that believes in sustainability, authenticity, and craftsmanship.
Being part of FIVI – the Italian Federation of Independent Winemakers – is a natural choice for us: because we believe in a wine that is authentic, sincere, and deeply rooted in its territory.

Cantina Juvara is a leading winery in the heart of the Tavoliere delle Puglie, with approximately 4 hectares of vineyards in the Supparte district, near Lucera (FG). In this area, cultivated since Greco-Roman times, the Casiero family produces native grapes following sustainable viticulture, without irrigation and with manual pruning using the double Guyot system.

The vines are espalier-trained, systematically pruned, and harvested by hand during the first ten days of October for the red wines and September for the white and rosé wines.
The varieties grown are:
Nero di Troia (native to northern Puglia),
Malvasia Bianca,
Falanghina di Puglia, etc.
From the grapes of our land, approximately 10,000 bottles are produced each year, distributed across five labels: two white wines, a rosé, a vintage red, and the aged Nero di Troia.
Wines: Labels, Style, and Characteristics
Supparte (red wine)
This is the company's flagship wine, produced entirely from Nero di Troia. The name comes from the district where our vineyards are located. The wine is an intense red with purple highlights, with aromas of blackberry and ripe plum, and a slightly spicy finish. On the palate, it is structured and full-bodied, with pronounced yet elegant tannins, savory, and persistent.
Vinification is carried out in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 24–26°C, with maceration on the skins for approximately 15 days. This is followed by 15 months of aging in stainless steel and then 36 months in bottle.

ArmeRosa (rosé wine)
Also made from Nero di Troia, this is a modern and fresh rosé, ideal for aperitifs and relaxed experiences; it expresses the grape's delicacy and vivacity in a lighter version.

FàLuce – Falanghina (white wine)
Made from Falanghina, this is one of the two white wines. Fermented off-the-skin at a controlled temperature (approximately 14–16°C) for a clean and aromatically rich wine. It is aged in stainless steel for approximately 4 months, followed by 3 months in the bottle.

MàLuce, Malvasia Bianca (second white wine)
It showcases the local grape variety with a fruity and floral aroma (apricot, peach, almond), medium alcohol content, and good acidity. When vinified alone, it offers fresh and savory notes, perfect with appetizers, fish dishes, or as an aperitif.

MasoRosso: GRAPE VARIETY BLEND OF Nero di Troia, Montepulciano, Malvasia Nera, and Bombino Bianco.
