Le Caniette

Le Caniette is a family-run winery located in Ripatransone, in the Marche region, with roots dating back to the 1960s. Founded by Raffaele Vagnoni, the estate developed when he progressively converted inherited farmland into vineyards, making viticulture the core of the family business.

A key moment in the winery’s evolution came in the early 1990s, when Giovanni Vagnoni joined the company, introducing the first wine labels along with technological and commercial innovations that expanded the winery’s reputation beyond the local market.

Today, the estate covers around 20 hectares, including 16 hectares of vineyards, alongside olive groves and woodland. The vineyards benefit from a unique combination of factors: a Mediterranean microclimate influenced by Adriatic and Balkan currents, and sandy soils with ancient geological origins. The winery follows organic farming principles, emphasizing sustainability, respect for nature, and the production of genuine wines that reflect the territory. Le Caniette is also part of the Vini Piceni Consortium, reinforcing its commitment to local identity and quality.

Le Caniette produces a range of wines that express the authenticity of the Piceno area in Marche, combining native grape varieties with a modern and precise winemaking approach.

Pecorino and Passerina – fresh, aromatic whites with minerality and structure

Montepulciano and Sangiovese – expressive reds with depth and balance

Selected blends that highlight both tradition and innovation

The wines are crafted from estate-grown grapes, cultivated organically and vinified with attention to detail to preserve varietal character and terroir expression.
