It all began in 1968 when Costantino Rozzi (the founder of the winery) decided to produce and promote Piceno wines and bought the first vineyards. His first bottles of CDO Rosso Piceno Superiore date back to 1970. CDO Rosso Piceno Superiore can only be produced in 13 municipalities of the province of Ascoli Piceno, in a hilly area overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The VILLA PIGNA winery is located in one of these towns, Offida. The winery has a large underground area where the wines mature in quality wooden barrels at a constant natural temperature, and on the ground floor where the wines are aged in concrete vats that allow them to breathe naturally, then transferred to steel tanks before being bottled. The winery is surrounded by 30 hectares of land, including 8 hectares of organic vineyards. The vines are trained using both the Guyot pruning system and the spurred cordon system. The wide range of soils, altitudes and exposures allows the grapes to be harvested at different times of the year, to make precise and technical decisions about the blend. Since 2003 the wines of VILLA PIGNA have been under the direction of Riccardo Cotarella, a renowned oenologist who has shared with the company the growing popularity of its wines and the local area. Today, after several changes in the family, Villa Pigna is managed by Costantino's daughter, Anna Maria, and his grandson, Giorgio. After two decades of excellence at both national and international levels, the winery is now dedicated exclusively to the production of Rosso Piceno Superiore. This choice may seem controversial, given the company's origins, but it is based on the deep roots that the company has always had with the territory and on the new management's passion for the most emblematic denomination that Rozzano wine could best represent.

The Cossignani family has been cultivating the land in Val Menocchia since the 1800s, carrying forward a legacy of respect for nature and tradition. However, it was our grandfather, Nonno Saturnino, in the 1950s, who initiated a significant transformation, dedicating the family to viticulture. For three generations, we have worked tirelessly as stewards of this extraordinary valley, safeguarding its biodiversity and honoring its history. Born and raised in these hills, we are deeply rooted in this land between Massignano and Montefiore dell’Aso. The unique geography of Val Menocchia, nestled between the Sibillini mountains and the Adriatic Sea, offers our vineyards a distinctive microclimate. The cool mountain air, saline sea breezes, and southeast-facing slopes create perfect conditions for producing wines with unparalleled character. Our philosophy blends tradition with innovation. While the tenacity and wisdom of our ancestors shape our approach, we also look ahead, believing that a sustainable vision is essential to the future of winemaking.

La Canosa estate takes its name from Poggio Canoso, one of the four castles of Rotella, a small town in the province of Ascoli Piceno, in the southern Marche region. Nestled among enchanting valleys and immersed in the tranquility of the Sibillini Mountains National Park, this land captivated young entrepreneur Riccardo Reina, who decided to embark on an ambitious viticulture project here. The estate spans 100 hectares (247 acres), with 25 hectares (62 acres) of vineyards located in the heart of the Tesino Valley. Positioned on the 43rd parallel, a latitude particularly favorable for grape cultivation, the vineyards benefit from warm summers and frequent rainfall, thanks to Mount Ascension nearby. These ideal conditions foster the growth of high-quality grapes. For Riccardo Reina, the choice to establish La Canosa in Rotella was deliberate, driven by the area's unique combination of favorable position, climate, and rich morphological features, as well as its ancient winemaking tradition. This project marks the first step in his vision to create a group of regional wineries dedicated to reviving and cultivating ancient indigenous grape varieties, showcasing the excellence of Italian wine regions.
