About Winery and Wines
Welcome to Le Palaie Farm
Nestled in the heart of Peccioli, in the province of Pisa, Le Palaie Farm spans 150 hectares of untouched natural beauty. Here, plant and animal biodiversity flourish in harmony, creating a vibrant landscape shaped by 20 hectares of rolling vineyards, 2,000 olive trees, popular groves, and lush woodlands.
Our Story
For Nino Caponi, founder of Le Palaie, it was love at first sight in 1996. It all began with the purchase of a 17th-century farmhouse, which soon became the heart of our agriturismo. In 2004, we celebrated our first grape harvest, followed by the construction of a state-of-the-art winery and tasting room in 2013. Today, our winery operates with sustainability in mind, featuring photovoltaic panels that power the entire structure.
Our Vineyards
Our vineyards are home to a diverse selection of both local and international grape varieties, including Sangiovese, Cabernet, Merlot, and Viognier. The hills on which they thrive are of marine origin, often revealing marine fossils among the vines. This unique terroir imparts a distinctive salinity to our wines, making them truly one of a kind.
The Cellar
Blending tradition with modern innovation, our winery is equipped with cutting-edge technology for winemaking. It features thermoregulated steel and cement troncoconical tanks, French oak tonneaux and barrels, Tuscan oak casks for our Sangiovese, and caratelli for the vinification of passito. Additionally, we utilize a cocciopesto tank, further enhancing the depth and character of our wines.

Our Wines
Each of our wines tells a story of the land, the climate, and our passion for winemaking.
We carefully craft a selection that reflects the richness of our vineyards:
Brusio D'Era - This is a brut nature rosé sparkling wine produced using the long Charmat method. The wine spends eight months in an autoclave, resulting in exceptional finesse and a delicate, persistent perlage.
Gatta Ci Cova – A refined blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, offering a harmonious balance of ripe fruit, spice, and elegant tannins.
Bulizio – A bold and structured red, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, with deep notes of dark berries, tobacco, and a hint of oak.
Sagrestano – A Sangiovese-based wine that embodies the soul of Tuscany, with bright acidity, red fruit aromas, and a smooth, lingering finish.
Viognier – A fresh and aromatic white wine, featuring floral and tropical fruit notes, complemented by a crisp minerality.
Passito – A luscious dessert wine made from carefully selected grapes, aged to develop rich, honeyed flavors with hints of dried fruit and spice.
