The history of Fattoria Fibbiano is as rich as its wines. The estate dates back to 1707, as evidenced by a carved stone on the foundation of the house. In 1997, Giuseppe Cantoni purchased the farm, and today, his son, Nicola Cantoni, continues the legacy as a winemaker. The estate spans 20 hectares of vineyards, 5 hectares of olive groves, 12 hectares of woodland, and additional arable land, all maintained with a commitment to sustainability.

L'Agona was born from a family project that allowed them to unite thanks to a common passion: the world of wine. The name of the company itself conveys this strong bond, as each letter corresponds to the initials of our names: Alice, Giorgia, Olivia, Nicoletta, and Andrea. Bringing L'Agona to life from scratch was a real adventure. They are not winemakers with a long tradition, but a passionate family who, step by step, have made their dream come true. The estate's logo and labels are much more than just images. They represent Agona's willingness to put their face into what they do. The face shapes in the logo resemble a wine glass with two droplets that create a sense of movement. This symbolizes the estate's dynamism and personality.

Podere Borgaruccio has its roots dating back to the 1600s, making it one of the oldest farms in the area. Located in Tuscany, a region renowned for its excellence in Italian enology, viticulture has been practiced here since the time of the Etruscans. This ancient farm, situated in the town of Pèccioli in the province of Pisa, overlooks the Era Valley from the top of a hill along the route connecting Volterra to Pisa. The surrounding landscape, characterized by rolling hills adorned with vineyards and olive groves, reflects the area's deep agricultural and touristic heritage. The estate spans approximately 10 hectares, encompassing vineyards, olive groves, and woodlands. The cultivated area, covering over 5 hectares, includes plots that date back to the early 1970s. The farm’s history can be traced as far back as 1163, when records mention Giovanni Borgarucci, a knight and landowner in the Era Valley, recognized as a producer of wine and olive oil. Additional historical references over the following centuries provide further insights: In 1560, the name Borgaruccio appears in the Fiumi e Fossi collection (Medici land registry), where the assets of Francesco di Girolamo Borgarucci, a resident of Pèccioli, include “a piece of working land in a place called the Pèccioli plan or the Arenella plan, referred to as the Borgaruccio fund.” In 1690, another mention in the Fiumi e Fossi collection records the property of Jacopo Di Giovanni Bessi, also a resident of Pèccioli, listing “a piece of working land in a place known as the Poggio al Borgaruccio.” Despite changes in ownership over the centuries, the toponym has endured. Today, the farm is guided by a team of young, dynamic, and passionate entrepreneurs dedicated to preserving and enhancing the art of viticulture.
