About the Wines

Azienda Agricola Biologica offers a diverse range of wines, each crafted with respect for tradition and the land. Our red wines include DAMANTO DOC Maremma Toscana Rosso, a Sangiovese-based blend aged for over 12 months in wooden barrels, and POGGIO VENTOSO DOC Maremma Toscana Rosso, a full-bodied Sangiovese and Merlot blend with fruity notes. We also produce the SAN BERLERO IGT Toscana Rosso, a fruity red featuring Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, and Aleatico.

Our white and rosé offerings include FRANCESCONE IGT Toscana Bianco, a blend of Trebbiano and Clairette, and SAN ROSÉ IGT Toscana Rosato, made from Sangiovese and Aleatico. For those who enjoy dessert wines, we craft PASSITO ALEATICO IGT Toscana Passito Rosso from Aleatico and PASSITO BIANCO IGT Toscana Passito Bianco, a sweet blend of Viognier, Sauvignon, and Traminer.

Amazing and Unique Selection
We drive in and enjoy the delightful signs to the winery and the gorgeous views of the valley. Raffaella immediately appeared to welcome us with a tray of salamis and breads dipped in the olive oil that they also produce and then ushered us into the main room to explain the wines. She explained the entire catalog and we were saddened that we had only booked a package with 3. We selected the white Francescone, golden Viognier, and the signature Sangiovese; we also sampled the vermouth and the 2 dessert wines. All were absolutely superb, but the Viognier by itself justifies the trip. It is a white wine fermented with the skins and gains a delightful orange gold color with a flavor surprisingly similar to a red. We followed the tasting with a little walk around the vineyards (it was a windy November day so we cut that short). Our only issue was that we had booked last minute right before a convention and they had already packed up their card reader so we couldn't buy as many bottles as we wanted.
To the winery, none! It was a stellar experience
To winedering: it would be nice to have the details in email form, so that when we have limited reception we can still confirm the time and address.

A very pleasant experience
We were welcomed by Mr. Stefano, who with great kindness and considerable enthusiasm explained to us the wines they produce, strictly organic, and what makes them so. We did the tasting, accompanied by cured meats, cheeses and bruschetta. The wines were one better than the other, in fact we decided to buy a couple. Highly recommended.
