Absolutely amazing experience!

Rate: 5 out of 5 4/1/25
My partner and I visited Manaresi wine estate at the end of April. It was the most amazing experience! A short train or bus ride and a 20-minute walk from Bologna. The estate looked stunning and the views were incredible. Most importantly, Fernanda gave us a truly exceptional tour of the whole estate and shared much information on the wines and the way of life at the winery. She was the best tour guide! We had our wine tasting at the terrace, in the sun, surrounded by wisteria and overlooking the hills of Bologna. We tasted four wines and all of them were equally incredible. 10/10 would recommend and will be returning!

About Winery and Wines

At Manaresi Winery, Donatella and Fabio cultivate their vineyards with a deep connection to the land, practicing what they call pure agriculture—a philosophy of meticulous care and respect for nature that defines their winemaking.

The journey began in 1986, when the Agostoni-Manaresi family moved to Bella Vista Hill in Zola Predosa. Between 1988 and 1992, the first vineyards were planted, and over the years, the estate was carefully restored. By 2006, Maria Teresa Manaresi and her children, Donatella and Daniele Agostoni, took full ownership, ensuring its preservation and future development.

Between 2008 and 2009, the estate was further renewed with the planting of Grechetto Gentile (Pignoletto) and Sauvignon Blanc. The historic farmhouse was restored, and a modern winery was built, equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The 2009 harvest was the first to be fully vinified and bottled at Manaresi Winery, with the first wines released in spring 2010.

Since then, Manaresi Winery has continued its commitment to producing wines that reflect the passion, tradition, and innovation of its land.

In 2008-2009, Donatella and Fabio embarked on the renewal of part of the vineyards at Manaresi Winery, planting 0.7 hectares of Pignoletto and Sauvignon. This project followed a meticulous analysis of soil composition, clones, rootstocks, and technical materials. By 2009, the complete refurbishment of the winery and rural house was finished, marking a new chapter for the estate.

An Intriguing and Captivating Sparkling Wine – DOCG Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto – Frizzante:
- Grapes: Early harvest to preserve freshness and optimal acidity. Handpicked and carefully selected in small crates.
- Distinctive Traits: Delicate varietal aromatics and a fine perlage. Intense bouquet of white flowers and pear, striking a balance between freshness, elegance, and structure.
- Versatility: A perfect aperitif wine, yet structured enough to accompany an entire meal. Pairs beautifully with flavorful dishes of Emilia-Romagna and Italian cuisine in general. Best enjoyed well chilled.
