About the Winery

Schiopetto Winery, one of the most iconic producers in Friuli, has been a symbol of excellence in Italian winemaking since its founding. Located in the heart of the Collio region, Schiopetto was a pioneer in transforming the local winemaking approach by emphasizing purity, precision, and a deep connection to the terroir. Great story, great winery
We were there on Easter Saturday to visit the Schiopetto winery, a great story of Italian entrepreneurship. Patrizio is a knowledgeable guide and he had us discover an unusual production method (which I won't spoil). A great experience. The wines are interesting and you taste them in the company's beautiful B&B.

Excellent experience
Very interesting visit to the Schiopetto winery, with historical notes, numerous details of the winemaking process explained by a truly knowledgeable guide. Followed by a tasting of quality wines that concludes the experience beautifully.
We would have appreciated some breadsticks/snacks during the somewhat demanding tasting.

Excellent and interesting
A beautiful, very interesting experience. It was divided into a very interesting visit to the winery, where the very kind Patrizio showed us the production techniques in detail. We then moved on to the actual tasting in a charming inn with a view of the hills. The wines for tasting were all excellent. Thank you so much!
Eat something beforehand! The tasting only includes wine without pairings, except for some breadsticks.

Excellent explanation on wine production
Excellent explanation on wine production, starting from the cultivation of the plant, passing through the cellar and finally the bottling. Our guide explained the whole process with clarity even for non-experts in the field like us, in an engaging, charismatic, and patient manner. The tasting part was also excellent, with the winery's excellent wines. I recommend eating before the tasting or asking for just a few sips of each type as the tasting is quite demanding on an empty stomach.

Full immersion, full tasting for 3 people
Beautiful place, very interesting tour, Patrizio is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Introduction to the company's history, description and indication of the various grape varieties planted on the surrounding hills, production process described in great detail through the areas where processing and aging take place (too bad the barriques in the red wine cellar were not very visible: wood always has its charm...).

Extensive tasting at the nearby osteria (I would suggest accompanying it with some breadsticks).

Go there!!
