About Winery and Wines

Pelassa (Piedmont, Italy), is a small vineyard located in Montà d'Alba. Our family has always produced wine but the winery really officially started in 1950. 

Mario Pelassa at the aged of 10 years old decided that he was old enough to help his family. He took his bike, a few bottles of Nebbiolo and rode to Turin (43km away) to sell his family wine.

The winery is now managed by his sons Daniele and Davide.

From this humble beginning, the winery has progressed to an internationally honorable company receiving awards from the most demanding wine critics (95 points from Robert Parker).

Pelassa winery offer a fantastic range of authentic wines using local grapes. 
From Barbera to Barolo but also lovely refreshing white from Arneis variety as well as sparkling white wine.
