Degustazione vini
Impegno che mettono nella loro produzione di vino. Siamo stati molto bene ed il vino era molto buono. Consigliato. Ps l’unica cosa mettere il cartello fuori dal cancello perché non lo trovavamo

About Winery and Wines
Erik Banti’s winery was established in 1981, at a time when Morellino di Scansano was primarily consumed locally. Through Erik Banti’s efforts, the wine gained international recognition, with him being hailed as the “Prophet” of Morellino. Today, the winery produces Morellino di Scansano DOCG and Maremma Toscana DOC wines, including the flagship Ciabatta, first produced in 1983.
The estate now relocated to a new site at the foot of the Albegna River, benefits from a stunning 360° view of the Maremma, including Montemerano and Saturnia. Since 2022, the winery has embarked on a project to become a “total green” estate, using solar power, advanced water management, and eco-friendly packaging with lightweight bottles and carbon-neutral corks. The estate produces not only wine but also extra virgin olive oil and is expanding into the cultivation of almonds and pistachios.
The estate offers tastings, guided tours, and experiences, showcasing its commitment to sustainability and innovation while celebrating the region’s rich enogastronomic heritage.
Erik Banti Winery's vineyards span 21 hectares, primarily planted with Sangiovese (67%), alongside local varieties such as Ciliegiolo and Alicante (12%), and French varietals like Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Petit Verdot (21%). Two of the three vineyards are now certified organic. The vineyards have a planting density of 5,200 plants per hectare and use the simple Guyot training method, with all plots equipped with a sprinkling irrigation system to ensure optimal growth.
Erik Banti Winery produces a variety of wines, including Morellino di Scansano DOCG and Maremma Toscana DOC, with a focus on single-varietal wines such as Ciliegiolo, Sangiovese, and Vermentino. The winery also crafts a Brut Rosé from early-harvested Sangiovese, along with blends of Sangiovese and French varieties, aged in both steel and oak barrels. The estate’s flagship wine, Ciabatta, has been produced since 1983 and is made only in the best vintages from manually harvested and selected grapes.
The unique Maremma microclimate and stony soils allow for early harvests, producing wines with high acidity, rich body, and excellent longevity. In addition to wines, the estate produces cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, mainly from the Leccino, Caninese, Moraiola, and Frantoiana cultivars.
