Lovely vineyard tour and wine tasting

Learned a lot about wine making, and particularly about the varieties of grapes and methods used in this area of southern Puglia (Salento). Manuela was a wonderful host, very knowledgeable and entertaining
We visited all areas of the wine making facilities but not the vineyards themselves. That would have been a nice addition

Visite très interessante en anglais la guide drôle et expliquait très bien. Nous avons passé un excellent moment même si les conditions météo étaient très défavorables. Nous avons acheté deux bouteilles. La dégustation était elle aussi très bien servi avec quelque petit amusé gueule tout aussi bon les uns que les autres. C’ette activite nous a beaucoup plus je la recommande. La guide en anglais que malheureusement son nom m’échappe était vraiment excellente

Abbiamo prenotato questa esperienza durante la nostra vacanza per passare una mezza giornata alternativa - senza troppe aspettative -, ma devo dire che la tenuta, i vini, e la fantastica Manuela si sono rivelati una piacevolissima sorpresa! Super consigliato!

Bellissima mattinata trascorsa tra cantina e vigneti. La cantina è piccola ma molto organizzata ed attenta all’ambiente! La guida era competente e molto simpatica. Grazie per la bella esperienza!

Wine tasting in Corallo Winery

We booked wine tasting because we wanted to understand the process of wine making particularly organic wine.
Our hostess was extremely knowledgeable and took us through the process of wine making. She was brilliant and had a great sense of humour.
We learnt about the grapes and the area in which they are grown which is unusually close to the sea.
This was particularly interesting as it is organic wine.
If you are interested in all that is organic and natural.. this is for you.

About Winery and Wines

Tenuta Corallo is a modern winery nestled near the stunning “Baia dei Turchi” (Bay of Turks) along the Adriatic coast, where the Alimini Lakes meet Otranto. Established by Enzo and Gabriella Marti in 2010, the estate spans nearly 13 hectares and represents a seamless blend of their love for the sea and passion for winemaking. The brand-new cellar is thoughtfully designed across two levels: the ground floor houses a small showroom, laboratory, and a spacious 180-square-meter area with stainless steel refrigerated tanks for refining wines. Outside, on the terrace, a large rotary tank is dedicated to the fermentation of red wines. The basement level is home to a 100-square-meter barrel room, where wines are aged in wood, with the environment meticulously controlled for temperature and humidity. Visitors are welcome to explore this state-of-the-art facility by appointment, where they can enjoy guided tastings of Tenuta Corallo’s exquisite wines while soaking in the natural beauty of the Salento region.

The wines of Tenuta Corallo are a reflection of the rich terroir of Salento and the passionate craftsmanship of Enzo and Gabriella Marti. Situated near the coast, the vineyard is cultivated organically, benefiting from the protective Mediterranean scrub that shields it from the harsh winter winds blowing from the Otranto Channel. The estate focuses on cultivating traditional Salento grape varieties, including Primitivo, Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera, Aleatico, and Fiano. Each of these varieties is carefully nurtured to express the unique characteristics of the region, resulting in wines that are rich, full-bodied, and deeply connected to their coastal origins.

The winery’s dedication to quality is evident in every bottle, with wines that capture the essence of Salento’s sun-drenched landscape and the freshness of the nearby sea. Whether you are enjoying the bold flavors of Primitivo, the elegant notes of Fiano, or the deep complexity of Negroamaro, Tenuta Corallo’s wines offer a true taste of the land and the sea, making them a perfect companion for any occasion.
