Conti Zecca
(Winery in Lecce)
Provides 3 wine tastings and winery visit from €37.00
Conti Zecca has inhabited the lands of Leverano, in the heart of Salento, for five centuries. Conti Zecca has always taken great efforts to listen to, understand and make good use of the land until finally, in the early 1900s, the production cycle from cultivation to vinification of the grapes from the estate was accomplished, without ever changing the subtle balance of the place. The transition from the vine to the cellar was a natural progression, one which the company still follows with the same dedication today. Over time, the identity of the people and the place has overlapped, binding memory and nature together. A harmonious co-existence brought about by passion and respect, guarded peacefully and discreetly by those involved in the diligent work of Conti Zecca. This spirit permeates everything that is born of Leverano, particularly Conti Zecca wines, which alone tell a story of quality founded on the native grape varieties of Negroamaro, Primitivo, Malvasia Nera and Bianca, as well as select non-native varieties that are well adapted to the territory of Salento. The family’s four estates, Cantalupi, Donna Marzia, Saraceno, Santo Stefano (covering a total of 320 hectares), are facets of this unique picture and give life to harmonious wines enjoyed by many.
Cantina Petrelli
(Winery in Lecce)

However, by the early 1980s, the focus shifted entirely to viticulture, transforming the land into a picturesque expanse of vineyards. The entire winemaking process, from grape cultivation to the final bottle, takes place on the estate, ensuring the highest quality at every step. Castel di Salve
(Winery in Lecce)
Provides 1 wine tasting and winery visit from €20.00
Castel di Salve is proudly one of the historical wine producers in Puglia, having been founded in 1885 by Antonio Winspeare, Duke of Salve, to produce fine table wines and aged bottled wines from the grapes farmed in the estates of Salve, Supersano and Depressa. At its founding, the winery was the first to age and bottle its wines in Salento, under the guidance of Bordeaux winemaker Simon Murat. Its wines commended awards in competitions and expos in London (1888), Chicago (1894), Asti (1898), Paris and Naples (1900).
To this day, Castel di Salve has been working on the same land striving to express it into wines of character and elegance. The estate follows all of the production processes in the winery built by their ancestors in 1879: from the destemming of the grapes, the different fermentations, the refining and aging in oak barrels in the underground cellars excavated from limestone.
During the last 3 decades, we have modernized the building with respect for the past architecture, to fully control the hygiene of the environment where our wines evolve. To Castel di Salve, cleanliness and controlled temperatures are key to obtaining stable wines without invasive methods. Stainless steel and concrete tanks are temperature-controlled through a system powered by solar panels covering around 92% of our winery’s energy consumption for over 10 years.

Funiati
(Winery in Lecce)
Our winery covers 21 hectares, 15 of which are planted with vines from which we produce about 10,000 bottles a year. Our vineyards are located in San Pancrazio Salentino, a few kilometers from the sea of Torre Lapillo, in the Salice Salentino DOC territory, known for its strong wine vocation.
The particular pedoclimatic conditions are given by the proximity to the sea, the presence of constant wind and breezes and a large temperature range between day and night. In addition, our area has a dry climate with very little rainfall during the grape ripening period. The soils are deep and perfectly drained. All factors that give our wines great structure and opulence. The tradition of the simple and wise gestures of farmers that have been handed down for generations have made our territory among the most renowned for the cultivation of important grape varieties such as Negroamaro, Primitivo, Fiano and Susumaniello.
Feudi di Guagnano
(Winery in Lecce)
Feudi di Guagnano was established with the mission of preserving vineyards in North Salento, particularly those growing Negroamaro and Primitivo, which were at risk of abandonment. The winery is deeply connected to the Salento region, a historically significant wine-producing area. Its name, derived from the Latin word “feudus,” reflects its rural roots, with vineyards scattered across various districts in Guagnano. The winery’s brand, inspired by local history, embodies a deep respect for tradition and its dedication to revitalizing the region's viticulture.
Azienda Vinicola Cantele
(Winery in Lecce)
Every one of has a story to tell, just like a wine.
The story of a wine can be told through generations, seasons, memories, hopes, and vines. And our eyes never seem to stray from those vines as they bask in the sun and we contemplate the heavens and the cycles of life.
This land existed long before anyone left a footprint on its soil. Its memory stretches back thousands of years. It’s the same land where our grapes ripen, year and year, in the sunshine of summer, just like they have for millennia.
You could call our story a love story, one that our family has lived since the end of the Second World War. A story that interweaves passion and memory in the cradle of Italy’s south, a story that has Puglia’s beautiful Salento peninsula as its backdrop.
Cantina Coppola 1489
(Winery in Lecce)
The Coppola family, of Sicilian origins, arrived in Gallipoli in the 15th century. In 1489, in the Bella Città, Orsino Coppola married Laura Cuti, descendant of a noble family of the place, who brought as a dowry an estate of 8 hectares in the countryside of Sannicola, handed down from father to son for 15 generations, still owned by Coppola and cultivated as a vineyard. In 1715, Carlo Antonio Coppola built Palazzo Coppola in Alezio, in whose cellars were located a millstone for the pressing of grapes and a barrel room capable of holding 20 large chestnut wood casks.
In the next generation, the founder of the family, Giuseppe Francesco, had three sons: Giovanni, a journalist, founded the newspaper "Lo Spartaco" (1887-1914); Carlo graduated in medicine and Niccolò became a lawyer. The passion of the whole family for viticulture was such that all of them, during harvest time, took a break from their profession to dedicate themselves to the harvesting and vinification of grapes.
In the following period the Coppola's farm began to consolidate its entrepreneurial character thanks to the innovations introduced by Niccolò, Giovanni's son, who graduated in engineering in 1921, during the period of grape harvesting he totally devoted himself to the winery and decided to build a winery equipped with modern winemaking techniques.
Calo' Michele & Figli Sas
(Winery in Lecce)
IN THE ANCIENT HEART OF SALENTO, where the ground is generous and red, wine is an important cultural element. For two thousand years grapevines have been cultivated with the planting technique of Apulian 'Alberello' (bush) or " Alberello Pugliese", they only here may give grapes so particular, so unique, to produce wines which communicate fully scents, colours and flavours of the territory.
Through the cultivation of the grapevine linked to the enhancing the value of the products of his land, Michele Calò stands out as forerunner of high quality wines in Salento. Now his wines can be sold on great international markets worthy to welcome them. From Tuglie, in all Italy and all over the world. A great rematch taken by that man who left with the Salentine sun in his heart.
Schola Sarmenti
(Winery in Lecce)
In the countryside of Salento, you can walk on a red land, greedy for sun. Beyond the dry stone walls – very detailed stone sculptures indissolubly bound to one another – you get lost in a beautiful expanse of vineyards, rich in history – the real soul of Schola Sarmenti. Looking at generations of vines – from the young giving fresh and easy-drinking wines to the 80-year-old ones – is a great pleasure for your eyes. An important choice that Schola Sarmenti made was to preserve an old Apulian training system, called Alberello – a vine training method so hard as precious – used since ancient times. It just needs strong and clever hands to give high quality and prestigious wines. Fiano, Negroamaro, Primitivo are our autochthonous vine varieties whose stories go back to time immemorable, authentic expression of a loving land, pampered from the gentle breeze of two seas.
