TENUTA SPINELLI
About the Winery
Tenuta Spinelli was born in 2009 when Simone Spinelli, a wine lover, decided to plant a Pecorino vine at 550 meters above sea level.
By bringing Pecorino back to its ideal habitat, in the Montemisio area at the foot of Mount Ascensione, Tenuta Spinelli has seen its wines grow year after year. Fresh, mineral, and acid wines that reflect the red, stony soils and the strong temperature variations. The passion for Pecorino and high-altitude wines drives Simone Spinelli to numerous experiments such as the planting of 2 hectares of Pecorino in Castel di Croce at 750 meters above sea level and Pinot Noir at 550 meters.
Still much more lies behind the passion for his land and for his wines. Tenuta Spinelli aims to produce only high-quality bottles, starting with careful and accurate work in the vineyard, with the selection of bunches, harvesting in boxes, and particular care and attention in the winemaking stages.
