Vignobles Meynard represents the harmonious fusion of two family properties from the Meynard and Gauthier Dumas families, rooted in the rich wine history of the Bordeaux region, including appellations such as Castillon-Côtes-de-Bordeaux, Saint-Émilion, and Bordeaux.
Wine Selection and Styles:
Château Platon 2021 (Bordeaux Blanc): A pure Sauvignon Blanc with notes of citrus and white peach, finishing with a long mineral length. It's perfect for aperitifs, seafood platters, or fish, served ideally at 8°C.
Château Platon 2020 (Bordeaux Rouge): Comprising 60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% Cabernet Franc, this wine features a dense garnet color, notes of black fruits, leather, and roasting, offering a soft and fruity palate. It pairs well with creamy chicken supreme or veal sautéed with girolles.
Château Roque Le Mayne 2020: Dominated by 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Côt (Malbec), it’s characterized by its fruitiness, silky tannins, freshness, and balance, ideal for duck breast in sauce or grilled ribeye steak.
Château La Bourrée 2020: A blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, presenting a deep hue, fruity nose of ripe black cherries and blackcurrant, with finesse, breadth, freshness, and elegant tannins on the palate, perfect with lamb stew or tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms.
Château Étoile de Clotte 2020 (Saint-Émilion Grand Cru): Featuring 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, this wine showcases an intense dark garnet color, a distinguished and elegant nose, with flavors of sweet black berries, underbrush, and a hint of noble wood from meticulous aging, leading to a plush, almost velvety mouthfeel with ripe, subtle tannins. It complements game in sauce or slow-cooked dishes.
Château Platon Rosé 2021: Equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Franc create a pale, luminous rosé with red fruit aromas, framed by citrus, offering a broad and supple mouthfeel underscored by refreshing acidity, an excellent match for salads, charcuterie, or as an aperitif.
