About Winery and Wines

Villa degli Olmi is a historic winery with roots dating back to the late 19th century. The story began when Giovanni, the founder, paired silkworm breeding with winemaking, quickly expanding his market beyond the local region as the quality of his wines gained recognition. By 1926, Giovanni’s wines had earned gold medals at prestigious wine exhibitions.

In the post-war years, Giovanni’s son, Aurelio, established an independent winery in Creazzo, a small village near Vicenza, marking a new chapter in the company’s history. With the involvement of Aurelio’s sons, Bruno and Luciano, in the 1960s, the winery embraced modernization, introducing technological innovations, including a cutting-edge bottling line. Bruno, a graduate of the Conegliano School of Oenology, led the company’s growth, which included expanding into the Italian market during the 1970s and 1980s.

Under the leadership of the 4th generation, represented by Luciano, Matteo, and Camilla, Villa degli Olmi expanded its reach internationally. A new, state-of-the-art cellar at the Altavilla Estate was completed in 2009, positioning the winery to meet the growing demands of foreign markets. Today, Villa degli Olmi is present in 30 countries and continues to grow, all while maintaining a commitment to quality, innovation, and respect for the land.
