We recently visited the Benevento region and we were looking for a fun, wine tasting experience. We selected Pietreionne Vini mostly based on its location. What an amazing treat we had. First, we were given a tour of the winery and how they made the wine. It was a real treat to learn how a small winery does its operations. We then went to their restaurant where were were served a 4 course meal along with a tasting of 5 wines. Given we were the only group there, we had a totally private experience which was absolutely amazing. We walked away on cloud 9, 5 bottles of wine and some olive oil, and a loaf of bread made by the host's mother. We will visit the winery again when we return to the region and we would hands down recommend it to anyone looking for an intimate wine tasting for the region.
