The visit to Voerzio-Martini was absolutely perfect. We tasted 11 amazing wines (red, white and muscat) and learned a lot about Barolo wines and Piedmont wines in general. Mirko and Federica are super friendly with a lot of energy, authenticity and of course a great knowledge of wine. We look forward to seeing their lovely wines on the shelves in Denmark.

The experience was incredible and exceeded our expectations. Starting with the wine cellar, tasty appetiser's, and surprisingly great red wine. Our group is from California, we are very tough to satisfy, but we sure were. Highly recommend wine tasting with light lunch!

We had the pleasure of visiting Palazzo Lodron for a tour and tasting on 23, July, 2024. We were warmly greeted in the Palazzo courtyard by Olivia, who owns the winery with her husband. After a brief tour of the vineyard, which included stunning views of the countryside from atop an old stone tower, we entered the winery and house. This is a very small winery, but the quality is very high. The old house features 2 sub-levels of "caves" for cellaring. The history of these old rooms was explained by Olivia and it is very interesting. Olivia also graciously showed us some of the rooms of the house, in which she and her family live. The house has great historical significance in the area, having been occupied in former times by very prominent and important regional administrators. There is even a chapel in the house, complete with alter and painted copper panels in the ceiling. Extremely interesting and unique. We then tasted the wines and each were delicious! A rose, a cabernet franc and a cabernet sauvignon. The rose was on the darker side in both color and flavor and was excellent. The cabernet franc was bursting with fruit on the nose and on the palate and the cabernet sauvignon was lush and full on the palate with dark berry flavors yet very smooth and balanced. This wine tour is the best I’ve ever been on! We got served generous pours of amazing wine while we were led around the vineyard and Beatriz explained to us the process of growing, harvesting and pressing the grapes. We then went into the rooms where they ferment, age and bottle the wines, where we were told how the winemaker individually tastes and curates the wine. Beatriz was friendly and knowledgeable. When it came to trying the food, we were given another 2 bottles of a different wine and the food was traditional Sicilian and so delicious. We weren’t rushed through, and leisurely finished the food before buying a case of very well priced wine to take with us. I hugely recommend this tour!
