Good morning Winedering. Castello del Meleto has been an amazing experience! The tour was well organised and the surroundings spectacular. If we had to point out any negative comments, it would be the following: Our booking was showing already used the month before, but mixup was sorted a quarter of an hour later and we could join the tour on time. Also, the tour could have ended better had the guide (who was an excellent guide) ended the tour herself. Instead, she was replaced by one of her colleagues as she was meeting the next group. Both were minor issues as the wine, the relaxing atmosphere and breathtaking views made up for these!

A truly unforgettable time. We walked through the vineyards with the most stunning panoramic views we have found. Then we toured we barrel rooms and tasted the wines. This is a rustic, authentic operation and Alberto welcomed us like family. It is a hidden gem! Don’t be discouraged by it being off the beaten path. It is well worth it. We learned more from Alberto than on any other tour and we have a whole new appreciation for Chianti Classico. Also this winery has the most mind blowingly excellent vin santo (sweet dessert wine). Get your hands on the 1996 vintage. It is something you have never tasted in your life. Thank you Alberto for your hospitality. You get personal access from the wine master himself. Second to none and cannot recommend it enough. Un’esperienza davvero indimenticabile. Abbiamo camminato tra i vigneti con le viste panoramiche più incredibili che abbiamo trovato in Toscana. Poi abbiamo visitato le botti e degustato i vini. Questa è un'operazione rustica e autentica e Alberto ci ha fatto sentire proprio a casa. È un tesoro nascosto! Non lasciarti scoraggiare dal fatto che sia fuori dai sentieri battuti. Ne vale la pena. Abbiamo imparato di più da Alberto che da qualsiasi altro tour e abbiamo un apprezzamento completamente nuovo per il Chianti Classico. Questa azienda vinicola fa un vin santo straordinario. Non abbiamo mai assaggiato un vin santo così elegante e eccellente. Se non c’è alla degustazione comprate una bottiglietta! Grazie Alberto per la tua

Beautiful Wine Farm at the base of Etna! Gorgeous place to visit the hosts are very welcoming and knowledgable had a lovely time visiting and would highly recommend. lunch and wines were delicious!

We had a great time and would recommend this to others. The grandson of the original owner of the Vineyard conducted the tour and told a most enjoyable story of the history of the Vineyard. The wine portions were generous and the Antipasto he served was delicious.
