A glimpse of Tuscany
You can't appreciate the region of Tuscany in a one-day trip out of Florence; however, if you want to get a brief glimpse, this plan is perfect.
It offers views of vineyards, olive groves, and aromas of lavender and rosemary on the walking tour; this is interrupted by entering the cellars where the house wine is made.
The walk is crowned by the castle-hotel where a splendid lunch is served with a tasting of three wines from the wineries themselves.
The service is always cordial and warm, making you feel like you are among friends.
Highly recommended for a day out of Florence.

Excellent Experience
An experience we would do again without a second thought!
The tasting included 3 wines, among them Brezza and Brilla, which won us over. Each glass was accompanied by a different board, with well-thought-out pairings and high-quality products.
We were also lucky because the evening was accompanied by live music, making everything even more special.
A special thanks to Giulia, the owner, very kind and welcoming, and to the guy who guided us through the tasting: very knowledgeable and welcoming.

The class starts with a hasty tour of the market hall. After that, the cooking begins, although cooking is a big word here. You actually help the chef with the prep for the later restaurant service with chopping and other small tasks. The conclusion is the tasting of the previously prepared dishes.
You can tell that the chef has a lot of experience, so you can also learn a few things from him. We had fun and the food was good as well. But you shouldn't expect a classic cooking class. For what is offered, the price is therefore not justified and you have to adjust your expectations.

Intimate and pleasant experience
A beautiful experience at the Giusti estate. The welcome and staff were very kind and friendly, and they accompanied us in the presentation of the vision of Mr. Giusti, who founded and still runs the company impeccably today; all concluded with an excellent tasting of selected wines, accompanied by a charcuterie board. A beautiful experience, very intimate and pleasant, we will definitely return to visit the other estates as well.

Worth the drive up the hills!
While the drive up to the winery was on twisty and narrow roads, the views were spectacular! Especially from the winery itself. We were hosted by Alexandra, one of the family, and learned so much about their family’s path from Russia to an award winning winery in Italy. She also explained a lot about the grape varieties and their unique processes for creating exquisite wines. We tasted wonderful reds and whites and ended up taking a white and 2 reds away with us. We were also served a generous selection of breads, prosciutto and cheeses, so come hungry!

Brilliant and interesting tour with helpful guides and brilliant unique wines
We booked this only the day before as we were stuck for things to do in Braga, and found this vineyard tour a 20 min car journey away. Upon arriving, we met our engaging, friendly and helpful guide Xavier, who gave us each two welcome drinks. Throughout the whole visit he was brilliant at answering our questions and describing the wine making process. We chose this tour in particular due to the opportunity to walk around the vineyards, but we were not expecting to be able to see the Apple and kiwi trees, which added great diversity to the visit. When we returned, we looked round the warehouse area to learn about this vineyard’s unique wine making techniques and then were treated to Portuguese ham, cheese, bread, and olive oil made at the vineyard. Xavier then showed us the four premier wines they offer (2 white, 1 red, 1 sparkling) and even let us try a new bottle of white which hadn’t yet even been labelled. What’s special about this vineyard is that they specialise in “vinho verde”, and so in contrast to the heavier wines from the Douro valley, they offer lighter, more summery wines like no other in the world due to the environmental conditions. Lastly, Xavier generously gave us a free bottle of wine, and we were then able to buy some of the wine we had been trying. All in all we left with 7 bottles for only €28, yet the wine tasted incredibly premium. We would thoroughly recommend this tour of this unique family business: whether it’s for beginners in wine (like we were, having some of our first white wine) or wine experts, as were the other couple who joined us on our tour.
