Discovering the DOC Orcia wines, little known but excellent. We had a great time at the small family-run Atrium winery.

I gifted this experience to my boyfriend and everything was perfect. Emanuele was welcoming right from the start and told us about his winery and his wines with pure love. We started with an incredible explanation of the surrounding territory, then he led us first to the vineyard and then to the cellar where he told us step by step how you go from grape to wine. It was also interesting to hear him talk about the history of his family and thus of the winery. It all concluded with a tasting of 6 glasses of wine, a journey customizable based on one's tastes, accompanied by a platter, also adaptable upon request based on needs, on an enchanting terrace overlooking the Langhe and Monferrato. It truly was a wonderful experience.

Wonderful winery, modern, well-kept in every detail, clean, tidy, and with a breathtaking design. You can taste glasses of the area's native grape varieties such as Grignolino, Cortese, and Barbera, as well as Nebbiolo and Chiaretto, paired with local products, all in front of a completely glass wall that gives the opportunity to see the hills and the village of Vignale Monferrato in their entirety while enjoying a decidedly striking view. Do not let yourselves be influenced by prejudices regarding the grape varieties; the wines aged and presented by them are elegant and refined, the ultimate expressions of the potential of grapes that for years were set aside to make room for more high-sounding names. Here you will rediscover them in an entirely new guise, with some daring novelties, such as the Barbera rosé bubble with a fine perlage and a captivating flavor. Highly recommended for a classy tasting or even just for a romantic getaway from the city in a dreamlike setting.

Welcomed by Pietro himself in a bucolic setting, designed by him, that almost looks like it came out of a book, with ivy on the facade and vineyards surrounding it. He is a winemaker from another era, serious, passionate, he takes care of the small production all by himself; no one could better represent the meaning of independent winemakers, of which he is a member being FIVI certified. The wine he offers is something unique: Lessona is the ultimate expression of the Nebbiolo of Coste del Sesia, which he offers with an aging process that reaches up to 7 years in barrels, much more than what the regulations require. All the wines he produces are elegant, especially the Nebbiolo and Vespolina, native grapes of the area. He pairs the wines with typical local products, zero food miles. A rare pearl in an increasingly saturated panorama, in times when dedication to a craft like this is more of a mission than a job, and this difference can be fully perceived in the bottles offered. We will return in the future to get more. Extremely recommended for lovers of aged reds, a must for those who love Nebbiolo and want to try it in its best expression.
