Wine tour
The driver picked us up at our hotel. He was dressed very nicely, the car was very nice and he was a safe driver.
First stop was a very pretty winery. They gave us a tour of the winery and explained their processes in great detail. Very educational and wines were very good. The second winery was no tour, just had us seated and brought out some appetizer bites and the wines. A bit of a letdown after the first experience.
Our biggest disappointment with the tour is in the description of the event it states we would be tasting Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG. This is a very famous wine in the region and we were very excited to try it. Other tour guides told us about the wine, as well. We didn’t have it at the first winery so we assumed it was at the next one. When we got to the second winery I asked about it and they said they don’t have that, it’s made in Ragusa where we weren’t going. So, definitely false advertising and a disappointment, to say the least.
I was genuinely surprised since the tour otherwise was very professionally handled and arranged.
All in all it was a nice day with that one exception.

Love for the vine shoots
We were welcomed with kindness and led to discover what it means to organically cultivate grapes with love and expertise. Amidst a setting of vineyards as far as the eye can see, inside an ancient estate, we ate dishes of excellent local products, accompanied by a historic selection from the Zuffa winery of white and red wines of great excellence and personality. Each grape variety offered aromas and harmony in the glass.

Wine tasting
We arrived for a wine tasting, a very nice place immersed in the vineyards and greenery; besides the warmth and simplicity, I was very struck by the passion and precision of their work. The wines are good and definitely to be tried together with the platter of local cold cuts and cheeses, with the technical explanation by Mr. Federico (very helpful and friendly).
Certainly a great experience, we will be back.
