We absolutely loved our tasting and chat with Rafael at this winery. Don't be fooled when you drive up - the initial impression is that of a somewhat run-down, deserted location and that you're at the wrong place! However, after meeting up with Rafael, he gave a detailed explanation of the vineyards (complete with great views!) followed by an amazing food and wine tasting experience in their beautiful, historic tasting room. And by "tasting room", I mean the old dining table off the old family kitchen, complete with wood-burning fireplace "oven" - it was like stepping back in time! Rafael is a master at explaining and experiencing the joys of food and wine pairing, and the conversation was lively and interesting. I would highly recommend this tasting if you shun the large, commercial wineries (like we do) and prefer a very small, family-owned, intimate experience. Bonus - the wines are fabulous too!

Our visit to San Luciano was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a fascinating insight into the family’s history and the story behind the winery. The tour through the vineyards and production facilities was both informative and engaging. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate, and her enthusiasm quickly captured everyone’s attention. She brought the history, traditions, and winemaking process to life in a way that kept everyone fully engaged from start to finish. We’ve been fortunate enough to attend several wine tastings and vineyard tours over the years, but this was without a doubt the best experience we’ve had. The wines themselves were outstanding—beautifully crafted, full of character, and among the best we have tasted during our travels. An unforgettable experience from start to finish. Exceptional hospitality, fascinating stories, excellent wines, and a team that clearly loves what they do. We would happily return again and again—and highly recommend a visit to anyone who appreciates great wine and authentic hospitality.

The Justs provided a friendly and highly informative explanation of the nature and production of their wines. No question was too simple and all delivered with good humour and excellent English for the lazy foreigner. The Just wine selection is top drawer and so tasting them was a delight.
