We booked a tasting at this family-run winery and were fascinated by the passion and attention to detail that is passed down from generation to generation. First, Mr. Francesco accompanied us for a short walk through the vineyards and in the cellar, describing step by step the winemaking process and the characteristics of Valpolicella wines. Afterwards, we were led into a large hall that still preserves the stone of the ancient walls for the wine tasting and lunch. Here, the daughter and granddaughter delighted us with 5 varieties of wine (Garganega, Valpolicella Classico, Superiore, Ripasso and Amarone). All accompanied by a generous platter of cured meats and cheeses, bruschetta, mostardas and oil of their own production. We also tasted some tortellini and a sweet tasting to complete the lunch.

The building doesn't look like much but the tour is very interesting. They have kept an old-fashioned fermentation system in large concrete vats. Traditional work, manual harvest. A small family-run business. No frills here. Only the quality of the wine counts, which is excellent and not expensive at all. I recommend. Tour with Luz, a very friendly young female sommelier.

As a sommelier, I must say that this experience has transported me to the very roots of Sicilian winemaking. Dedication, love, effort, and perseverance. All of this is reflected in each of the wines we have tasted. And, of course, the perfect pairing with regional (very regional) products of the highest quality offers flavors you will never forget. Be sure to purchase some of their wines there, as this winery offers truly interesting and modern options at a very reasonable price and of incredible quality. In short, you can't miss this experience.
