As soon as you arrive, you immediately realize you are not in one of those glossy, cover-story wineries. Once past the entrance gate, you are immediately immersed in the reality of winemaking businesses, with rows of vines that almost follow you on your brief climb up the hill, offering halfway up a small clearing in the shade of trees, from where you can admire the beauty of the landscape. It didn't take us long to get to the farm, located halfway up the hill, and even less time to be welcomed by the owners. It is a family of mixed origins, Sardinian and German, settled in Tuscany for two generations. You immediately realize how important this is: the family is clearly tied to the territory by an intense love, which they pour into their products. And this love makes them continuously seek to improve and better themselves. Shortly after arriving and exchanging a few words, we entered a low building that had clearly been recently renovated. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and exudes a sense of rustic practicality. After a short while, a tour began among quality wines, carasau bread, olives, cured meats, cheeses, and the stories of the family and its products. After a white and a rosé of decent quality, we continued with an “easy-drinking” red called Don Lucifero. Despite being quite simple, or perhaps precisely because of it, both my wife and I particularly liked it. Next, we tasted a Morellino and a wine called Aione. What can I say, Morellino is Morellino. Here too, nothing that approaches the complexity of a Piedmontese wine (Nebbiolo, Barolo), but for this very reason it is a wine that you can pair much more easily with today's dishes. Of the five I tasted, it was the one I liked the most. The last of the lot, called Aione, is decidedly the most structured and complex, and perhaps for this reason it seemed less interesting to me than the other two I mentioned. Be that as it may, the experience was very pleasant and accessible for people like my wife and me, very occasional drinkers and - we were not ashamed to say it - decidedly not very knowledgeable about wine. I certainly recommend it!

The owner (in Italian) and his daughter-in-law (in English) gave us a lot of information with a lot of passion. The very personal tour with a subsequent tasting of real rarities as well gave us a wonderful afternoon.

We were given a very warm welcome despite our being late ❤️ Just the sight of the long table under the olive tree between all the little trees and vines took our breath away. It was a dreamlike atmosphere. The antipasti and the food were very delicious and the wines were very high-quality, also well-paired with the food. The tour was interesting and informative. We felt very comfortable and found everyone super friendly and kind. Thank you very much for this beautiful experience

The winery is really very well-kept and the description of the farm and their way of working is very interesting. You can feel the love and passion they put into their work. The tasting was very interesting and fun (as well as very good!), I highly recommend this experience.
