Like feeling at home
Gagliardi welcomed us as if we had known each other forever. We took a quick tour of the cellar where he explained all their winemaking methods in detail etc. He even answered all my questions!
Finally, we stayed on the main floor where I loved the little details (photographs and vintage accessories).
Here we did a tasting of a whopping 8 wines where the daughter (I don't remember her name, but I remember her being totally friendly and knowledgeable) led our tasting, accompanied by a board of typical cold cuts and cheeses. Obviously spectacular.
What can I say, I felt at home: there were just me and my boyfriend for the tasting and she explained practically everything to us front to front. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience starting from the visit to the vineyard and the cellar, not to mention the sunset tasting of 5 of their excellent labels paired with a platter of top-quality local cured meats, cheeses and vegetables. All surrounded by the Maremma landscape that conveys peace and serenity. A thanks goes to Carlo who, with his kindness, friendliness, passion and great knowledge, guided us through this wonderful experience, telling us about the whole process that leads to the final product.

Friendly and inspiring
We had a really good experience at Bodegas Bentomiz, where we were met with friendliness.
We tasted four different wines and added their tasting snacks. Everything was delicious, but the story behind both the winery and the wines themselves was particularly inspiring. Definitely worth a visit!

Olive oil tasting
Organised tour at the olive yard and oil producing facility. There is also a museum inside the main building, designed by the French architect/designer Philippe Starck. Tasting of the local produced olive oil with some explanation. In general I experienced the tour as a bit fast and superficial. Amazing view of the surroundings from the terras. Although we booked an English tour, it was a combined tour with Spanish.
A small note though, we booked and paid in advanced, but on arrival no booking was found. Luckily I could produce the confirmation received by email.
