The facility is simple and welcoming, located on a hill at the foot of Vesuvius. The last stretch of road to get to the winery is unique, a dirt path subject to restrictions by the Vesuvius National Park that climbs up through vineyards and orchards. After a welcome with a flute of sparkling wine, the experience was divided into two phases: the visit to the vineyards, with an overview of the various types of grapes and derived wines, and of the vegetable gardens where they grow the products served at the table, including the legendary "piennolo del Vesuvio"; the lunch consisting of various bruschettas and appetizers followed by a first course of fusilli with cherry tomatoes and sliced steak, which were paired with wines of gradually increasing complexity: a crisp white wine, a full-bodied white wine, a rosé wine, a medium-bodied red wine, a full-bodied red wine. The lunch concluded with dessert and a tasting of the house's Lacryma Christi Passito. An undoubtedly engaging experience where the skill of the staff and the young entrepreneur guided the tastings through the description of the culinary products and paired wines with love, expertise, and passion, recounting the anecdotes that gave life to certain products and their names. Here, everything in the name includes either "Pompeian" or "of Vesuvius" to recall the volcanic nature of the soil which, with its minerality, confers unparalleled strength and flavors to the products of the land. A pleasant experience that I will repeat as soon as possible, recommended for those who want to appreciate the products and history of a wonderful land where what we can taste today is the fruit of a thousand-year-old culture in continuous evolution.

Pleasant experience at the Castello di Selvole winery. The castle is a very beautiful structure and the owner, Guido, was kind and super helpful. We did a tasting of 5 very good wines accompanied by truly tasty food. Really worth the visit! ☺️

The tour was a beautiful experience, Francesco was a very prepared, eloquent, and very kind guide. You could see that he loves his job! Enchanting castle and wines and platters of excellent quality. We can only recommend the visit.

We visited the entire cellar area and a part of the castle where the grapes were put to dry, the guide was really very good, clear in her explanations and also engaging. After the visit we had a light lunch with a tasting of 3 wines and typical Tuscan dishes. Everything was excellent.
