The Ricci Curbastro family, with a deep agricultural tradition dating back to the 13th century, manages farm estates in Lugo di Romagna, Rontana di Brisighella, and the renowned Franciacorta region in Capriolo. Spanning 32 hectares, 27.5 of which are dedicated to vineyards, the estate adheres to the rigorous standards of the Franciacorta Wine Consortium. Within the estate, Villa Evelina houses an underground wine cellar for fermenting and aging Franciacorta DOCG wines, alongside the Ricci Curbastro Agriculture and Wine Museum, which showcases centuries of agricultural history.

Nestled in the heart of Franciacorta, Tenuta Vinea Ventis is located in Paratico, a captivating corner where the land’s magic nurtures the vines. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Bianco thrive in this extraordinary soil, flourishing under the protection of the Oglio Nord Park, where wildlife weaves through the vineyard rows. Cultivated in espalier formations, the vines are carefully guided by skilled hands, maintaining a delicate balance between leaf and fruit. This harmony, together with the rarity of the soil, allows Vinea Ventis to produce 20,000 bottles annually of exquisite Franciacorta wines: Brut, Rosé, Satèn, and, in the most exceptional vintages, the Nature Millesimato Pas Dosé. The more contemporary history of this winery develops around Capriolo, an evocative medieval borough where, in the 1970s, Giancarlo Lantieri was one of the first – with oenologist Cesare Ferrari – to make his first steps in the production of sparkling wines, now recognised and acclaimed as Franciacorta D.O.C.G. The Lantieri company nowadays produces about 160,000 bottles a year, of which 120,000 are Franciacorta D.O.C.G. and the rest are Curtefranca, cultivated in vineyards covering 20 hectares, all tended directly by the company and situated in the districts of Capriolo and Adro, in the lush green area known as Colzano, protected by the hills surrounding the Winery. The clayey silicic nature and lime content of the soil make this land particularly suitable for wine growing and Chardonnay in particular. Centuries-old traditions, combined with today’s modern wine-making processes, have contributed to a complete series of Franciacorta DOCG and DOC wines acclaimed for their fineness and strength, elegance and taste. LANTIERI DOCG wines rest on yeasts for a period that varies from 24 months for the fresh and pleasant Brut and Extra Brut, to 30 for the delicate and widely versatile Satèn, and the Rosè fermented with Pinot Nero grapes which give it the unmistakeable pink colouring. 42 months, instead, are required for the Millesimato Arcadia, the top of production, distinguished by its structure and complexity, its fullness and intense spicy notes.
