5 Excellent Verdicchio Tasting at Tenuta Mattei (Katarzyna)We had a wonderful private wine tasting experience at Tenuta Mattei, including a tour of the winery. Our host was incredibly kind, welcoming and knowledgeable, which made the whole visit very enjoyable. We tasted a fantastic selection of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi wines and, to our pleasant surprise, even tried more wines than were included in the package we had booked. Everything was presented in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The tasting was accompanied by a delicious selection of local snacks, which paired beautifully with the wines and gave us a real taste of the local traditions. A lovely, authentic experience that we would highly recommend. We left very happy and would definitely come back to Tenuta Mattei again!

5 Amazing; Friendly and Generous (Genevieve)My husband and I brought our 4 kids along while on holiday. We booked last minute and showed up early due to our travel schedule and had to use a translator app since we don’t speak Italian. It was an amazing experience, the wine and generosity were also next level. If you have a chance please give them a visit!!

4 Tasteful experience (Marieke)Reception by the owner with a fresh and tasteful aperitivo, a glass of spumante. After that down to the cellar to see the silos in which the grapes mature. Danilo let us taste 3 stadium of wine making. Insightful. Then back upstairs to find a table with 5 glasses, water and gran pardano with bread. The wines were, to be completely honest, very good and totally different from each other. Danilo was a great host. Of course we bought some bottles of wine, took a few pictures of the vineyard with exceptional view and went on our way to visit the village. Great afternoon!

4 Great visit to Tenuta Mattei (Caroline)We had a great visit to this vineyard. Welcome was warm and friendly and we were able to sample a great selection of their wines, accompanied by a very generous selection of cheese, salami and bread. There is a restaurant on site where we could have had a full lunch but snacks had filled us up! Only dropped one star as we had requested a tour in English (4 of us English, my husband is Italian). The guide was only able to guide us in Italian so my husband had to act as interpreter which was fine but not very relaxing for him! Well worth a visit however and we will be back.

He welcomed us by showing us the estate from the outside to the inside, telling us everything from its history to how the wine is produced. We concluded the experience by tasting the 5 glasses of wine. We loved all the types, pairing them with the local food, which was also delicious. Furthermore, not to be underestimated, he welcomed our medium-sized little dog without any problem.

4 Excellent experience (Arianna)Excellent location to discover this area of the Marche region. We were accompanied to the vineyard and the cellar, and then to taste the wines. There were 5 scheduled, but we were able to choose to taste others that were "off the program" as well. The production is truly varied and there are quite a few wines available for tasting and purchase. Their metodo classico and their Lacrima di Morro are very interesting. I recommend the tour, for the area, the hospitality, the wines, and the experience.

5 Between hills and glasses: the charm of the Mattei Estate (Alice)I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Mattei Estate for a wine tasting, and I can say that the experience was truly pleasant. Right upon arrival, we were greeted by a breathtaking panorama: the estate, situated on a hill, offers an enchanting view of the Marche hills, which alone is worth the trip. During the tasting, we had the opportunity to sample more than five wines, including some excellent sparkling wines. The quality of the wines is remarkable and the passion with which they are produced is reflected in every glass. The accompaniment with the platter of local cured meats and cheeses was the ideal complement: ciauscolo and artisanal salami, pecorino and parmesan enhanced the flavors of the wines. One aspect that particularly struck me was the history of the estate. The owner, who accompanied us during the visit, shared his experience with us in a genuine and passionate way, making us understand the commitment and dedication behind every bottle produced. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who loves good wine and wants to spend a few hours in an enchanting place, immersed in the beauty of the Marche hills and guided by people who truly put their heart into what they do!
