Morgado do Quintão is a historic family estate situated between Silves, Monchique, and Lagoa in the Algarve, Portugal. Founded in 1910 by the Count of Silves, the estate remains under the care of his descendants, preserving a rich legacy that blends a passion for the land, gastronomy, and artistic expression with a deep respect for local heritage, beauty, and conservation. Quinta da Penina started in 2000, during a time when cooperatives in the Algarve began closing, paving the way for small producers. By 2007, the winery had its own cellar, producing wines inspired by the local history, including the João D’Arens series. Located in Portimão and Lagoa, the estate’s terroirs combine local and French grape varieties, including Touriga Nacional, Castelão, and Negra Mole. Visitors are welcomed for guided tours, where they can learn about the winemaking process and enjoy tastings.

Cabrita Wines is a family-owned winery rooted in the Algarve, dating back to 1977. Founded by José Manuel Cabrita, the winery has grown under his leadership since 2000. Quinta do Francês is a Family Estate, with 8 hectares of vineyard, nested in the hills of Silves, on the Odelouca River Valley, in the southeast region of Portugal, the Algarve. The Algarve with its exceptional climate not only attracts tourists seeking for sunshine, but is also a great terroir for growing vines. The vines grow in a variety of soils including clay, limestone, sandstone and even some areas of schist and produce high-quality grapes. The Algarve has a long heritage as a winemaking region. Through the ages, trade of the Algarvian wines was of great importance. Unfortunately in the mid-twentieth century, wine production rapidly declined since the profits of wine could not compete with the benefits that tourism has brought to this region. However, in the 80's, the Algarve gained the status of demarcated Region for : Lagos, Portimão, Lagoa and Tavira. Since now 10 years, viticulture and wine production is renewing with tradition and several new wineries are born and produce now wonderful wines.

The Adega do Cantor or Winery of the Singer is situated in Guia, a few kilometres northwest of Albufeira, in central Algarve. It was built to produce wine, principally the Vida and Onda Nova wines, from three surrounding Quintas, Quinta do Moinho, Quinta do Miradouro and Vale do Sobreiro. Our aim is to produce the highest quality wine that the region can offer using a combination of traditional and innovative modern winemaking techniques. The winery is situated at the top of Quinta do Miradouro from which stunning views of the surrounding vineyards and coast line can be seen.

This is a property of 80 hectares in the south of the country, overlooking Alvor Bay and the Mediterranean sea, a place with a unique and powerful heritage, borne of centuries of merging cultural influences. It is in Villa Alvor, located at the old Quinta do Morgado da Torre, that the richness of Algarve’s past bears fruit in the form of a range of Portuguese wines that aims to revive and reveal all the potential of this historic terroir.
