Tenuta Grimaldi
(Winery in Vallesina)

Provides 2 wine tastings and winery visit from €25.00
Nestled in the heart of Italy, Tenuta Grimaldi spans 32 hectares (79 acres) of rolling countryside in Matelica, surrounded by vineyards, oak forests, and cultivated fields. Located along the Esino River, the estate is shielded by the Apennine Mountains, overlooking the valley where the renowned Verdicchio di Matelica DOC is produced. The estate is deeply connected to history, standing on a hill once known as Torramuni, now called Terra di Mondo. At 570 meters (1,870 feet) above sea level, the site once hosted a medieval watchtower, built to defend the strategic Flaminia Road, the main route to Rome. In 1277, a long conflict between Matelica and Camerino led to the destruction of the tower, yet its ancient stone foundations still remain near Tenuta Grimaldi today. Founded in 2015, Tenuta Grimaldi was established by the Grimaldi family, who transitioned from the construction industry to agriculture, bringing their vision to life. The project transformed an abandoned rural complex into a thriving winery and hospitality estate. The first vineyards were planted with meticulous soil analysis and geological studies, ensuring that each parcel was perfectly suited for viticulture. Today, the estate balances local economic sustainability with international expansion, producing high-quality wines that express the land's unique identity.

Provides 1 wine tasting and winery visit from €35.00
Azienda Agricola Colleonorato's origins are deeply rooted in a century-long family history of working the land. The founder, born above a winery established in 1900, pursued a degree in Economics and Marketing in agro-industries without initially intending to make wine. Yet, her family's long-standing connection to agriculture, passed down through generations, ultimately led her to cultivate her passion for winemaking. Colleonorato was born from the need to honor her family’s past and embrace her love for nature. The winery is situated along Via Colleonorato, the very place of the founder's birth and the site of the new state-of-the-art winery dedicated to producing their flagship Verdicchio wines: Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore in two labels, “Prologo” and “La Giostra,” as well as the Rosso Piceno labeled “Il Cortese.” A deep partnership with Luca, who shares in the management of the vineyard, helps to fuel the winery’s innovative approach. Together, they push boundaries to create a Verdicchio that balances tradition and unconventional choices, producing wines that reflect both the region's rich legacy and modern techniques. At Colleonorato, winemaking is seen as an art form, designed to create sensory orchestrations that blend tradition with contemporary craftsmanship. The winery prides itself on continuous innovation, transforming Verdicchio into a showcase for creativity while preserving the fundamental roots of traditional, artisanal production. This philosophy of constantly striving for the highest quality fuels their journey to produce wines that harmoniously combine balance, intensity, and aroma, evoking the essence of their land.
