Bellissima esperienza che tutto dovrebbero fare,chi ci ha accompagnato nella visita è stato bravissimo nel farci capire tutti i concetti e a trasmetterci la passione e l'importanza di quello che fa.
Siamo andati via pieni di nuove scoperte e soprattutto di conoscenza su questi prodotti che diamo così tanto per scontati quando in realtà sono davvero un "tesoro" da costudire e soprattutto abbiamo imparato come ci è stato detto che il problema è il tempo, purtroppo non abbiamo tempo nemmeno nel soffermarci sul pensare e capire cosa mettiamo in tavola e mangiamo tutti i giorni,esperienze come questa ti fanno capire l'importanza che ha invece e che il tempo è prezioso, sotto ogni aspetto.

About Winery and Wines

The farming tradition of the Selmi family dates back to 1960, when grandfather Gino began following in his parents’ footsteps on the family farm. In the 2000s, the management of Podere San Paolo was passed down to his grandchildren, marking the start of a renewal cycle without ever forgetting the teachings of their grandfather. Everything we’ve created over these years of activity is embodied here in our wines.

With eight hectares of land passed down from generation to generation, Podere San Paolo is a living testament to how traditional teachings blend with innovative production techniques. The essential foundation for great wine is excellent raw material, and the wines of Azienda Agricola San Paolo perfectly encapsulate this belief. The grapes, grown exclusively in our vineyards in Castelfranco Emilia, are hand-harvested to preserve their integrity from the vineyard to the cellar. This meticulous process ensures that the grapes’ finest characteristics are maintained, resulting in a product of unique and authentic quality.

Our work goes beyond creating quality wine and Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena D.O.P.; we also craft unique products such as Saba and Onion Jam with ABTM. San Paolo is also home to an exceptional restaurant that redefines the concept of agritourism, offering a bridge between tradition and innovation. Here, the authenticity and territoriality of raw ingredients are used to explore flavors and experiment with new combinations.

Our Vineyards

Agriturismo San Paolo boasts 8 hectares of vineyards, cultivating diverse grape varieties: Sauvignon, Malvasia, Trebbiano, Cabernet, Riesling, Malbo, Pignoletto, and Lambrusco.

Our White Wines

Harmonia San Paolo • Malvasia Emilia IGP
A sparkling white wine with a straw-yellow color and golden highlights. Its delicate fruity and floral notes, balanced consistency, and fine sapidity make it elegantly intense on the palate.

Sauvignon San Paolo • Emilia Sauvignon IGT
A fresh and fruity wine with unmistakable aromas of exotic fruit, gooseberries, and elderflowers. Straw-yellow with greenish reflections, it offers a harmonious flavor, full body, and a slightly aromatic finish with sage hints.

Pignoletto San Paolo • Pignoletto DOC Modena
A still white wine with a straw-yellow color and golden highlights. The bouquet is intoxicating and floral, with aromas of ripe white and yellow-fleshed fruit. Soft and harmonious on the palate, with a bitter almond aftertaste typical of the grape variety.

Oltre • Pignoletto DOC Modena
A sparkling white wine with a straw-yellow color and greenish reflections. Delicate and floral, it reveals aromas of white and yellow-fleshed fruits, resulting in a soft and harmonious palate.

Our Red Wines

Essentia Passito • Malbo Gentile dell'Emilia IGP
A garnet-colored wine crafted from late-harvest organic grapes that are slowly dried in a drying loft. It offers notes of red fruit jam, prunes, roses, violets, dried fruit, and spices. Naturally sweet yet balanced, it is dense but not cloying, with an excellent balance between freshness and aromatics.

Gentilrosso • Malbo Gentile dell'Emilia IGP
A still red wine with an intense dark violet color. On the nose, it is pleasant and complex, with ethereal and fruity notes. On the palate, it is dry, bold, and rich.

Luna Nera • Lambrusco Rosso Emilia IGT
A sparkling red wine with an intense ruby color and lively violet froth. It offers aromas of citrus and ripe red fruits, with a dry, bold, and tannic flavor that is well-balanced.

Ribelle • Lambrusco Rosso Emilia IGP
A sparkling red wine with an intense ruby color and lively violet froth. The nose reveals notes of ripe red fruits and spices, while the palate is dry, bold, fresh, and slightly bitter with good tannins.

An excellent aperitif to enjoy outside of meals, perfect for a toast. Its clear color and fresh aromatic notes offer a refreshing sensation on the palate, with an intensely aromatic finish.

Cento7 • Pignoletto Spumante DOC Modena
Crafted using the Extra Brut Metodo Classico, this sparkling Pignoletto displays yellow and green highlights, accompanied by elegant aromas of apple and pear, and delicate hints of white flowers. On the palate, it is elegant, fresh, dry, sapid, and well-balanced.
