ATAVUS Priorat was born from a serendipitous encounter in 2014, when a simple act of kindness led to the formation of a deep friendship among wine enthusiasts. By 2018, this shared passion for wine and commitment to sustainability culminated in the establishment of our winery on the historic Mas d'En Ros estate in Gratallops. Our mission is to produce high-quality wines with minimal intervention, preserving the rich biodiversity of the region and honoring the legacy of those who came before us.

The Priorat region, with its centuries-old wine-growing tradition, is renowned for its challenging terrain and exceptional terroir. At ATAVUS Priorat, our vineyards are located on steep coastal terraces, where the extreme conditions demand meticulous care. All vineyard work, from pruning to harvesting, is done by hand, ensuring that each vine receives the attention it deserves.

Our vineyard has been managed biodynamically and organically since 2005, a reflection of our dedication to producing wines that are true to their origins. We focus on minimal intervention, allowing the natural characteristics of the grapes to shine through without the use of clarifications or stabilizers. This approach enables us to produce wines that express the unique qualities of each plot of land.

We cultivate a variety of grapes under the DOQ Priorat and DO Montsant designations, including Red Grenache, Hairy Grenache, Carinyan, Syrah, White Grenache, Macabeo, Viognier, and Pedro Ximenez. Among our seven wine references, our Syrah Amphora 2019 has received special acclaim, earning an impressive 95 points from Decanter Magazine, a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship and quality of our wines.
