About Winery and Wines

Hi , we are Gianpaolo , Andrea and Marco Boffa, the owners of " Cortino farm", former Produttori Dianesi . The winery was founded in the early 70s where Gianpaolo was one of the founders. Currently our company is a family- run business and we are right in the heart of the Langhe hills, Diano d'Alba , a town of ancient origins which gets its name from the temple dedicated to Diana , the goddess of hunting. We believe in our territory, an area of the "Dolcetto" wine and , of this wine variety we produce 7 different kinds... Yes, that's right, 7 types and to be precise : Sorì La Rocca, Sori Santa Lucia, Diano, Diano without added sulfites Rosato di Dolcetto, Langhe Dolcetto, Passito di Dolcetto. Obviously our production is not just of "Dolcetto", we have all the typical range of the Langhe, and among white wines we produce Arneis, Chardonnay, Moscato, while as red wines we produce Barbera d'Alba, Nebbiolo d' Alba and an assembly: the "Barilat" also called by our grandparents "Bardonè" composed of Barbera - Dolcetto- Nebbiolo . In the farming and winemaking we try to mix modern techiques with the traditional ones in full respect of nature , because first of all, it's us who work in the vineyard and in the cellar.
