About Winery and Wines
The history of the Gini company began in 1500 with a family of winegrowers, the Gini family, who were already consolidating the winemaking activity in Monteforte. It is no coincidence that, even today, the family is recognised as one of the oldest winemakers in the Soave Classico area. Entering the underground wine cellar, one immediately realises that one is in a very special place: entirely dug out of volcanic tuff, the typical black rock can be seen in several places. Here the wines rest in the barrique cellar, breathe in delicate wood and mature at an optimal temperature. The most recent part of the cellar was obtained from old rustic buildings restored using exclusively local materials and, in particular, white limestone from the estate vineyards.
The family has always paid the utmost attention to the care of the vines and wines in an exclusively natural way. Tradition and innovation coexist and work in harmony at all stages of production to achieve ever more refined products. The wine-growing practised here is organic, respecting the environment and the traditions of the ancestors who have always worked the land using natural methods.
