About the Winery
Cantine Zuffa is an organic winery placed at the bottom of the hills of Imola (Emilia-Romagna, Italy). The winery has now reached the 5th generation: Augusto Zuffa is carrying on the tradition of the wine making process taken over from his father, adding his own experience and innovations. The grapes are treated organically - no chemicals are used and the harvest is still done by hand. The production is supported by 4 patents, of which one has been developed in-house. Technology and nature meet at the Zuffa winery, to get the best possible taste in your glass - you can truly taste the Soul of Italian wine. - Come to visit us - taste our wine matched to seasonal, regional and organic dishes made by us. Cantine Zuffa è una cantina biologica situata ai piedi dei colli d’Imola (Emilia-Romagna). La cantina ha raggiunto la 5a generazione: Augusto Zuffa sta portando avanti la tradizione della produzione di vino che ha ereditato da suo padre, aggiungendo la propria esperienza e le proprie innovazioni. Le uve sono trattate in maniera biologica - non viene usata alcuna sostanza chimica e la vendemmia viene effettuata a mano. La produzione è supportata da 4 brevetti, di cui tre sono stato sviluppati da Cantine Zuffa. About the Wines
The production at the Zuffa winery is based on unmovable milestones: the health of those enjoying the wine, the authenticity of the flavour, the love and respect for the surrounding territory, and the preservation of the regional, seasonal and natural tastes. During your visit, you will have the occasion to taste the official Expo 2015 wine, Vinea Zuffa Expo 2015, vintage 2012 - made of 10 clones of the Sangiovese grapes, aged 30 months in oak barrels made of Allier wood. The wine has been analysed by the Italian Ministry of Health, and it highlights the 22 natural microelements that balance the nutrition of the mitochondrion cells, which are the energetic centres of every cell in our body and that are responsible for the wellbeing of body and mind. La produzione di vino presso Cantine Zuffa è basata su fondamenti inamovibili: la salute di chi degusta il vino, l’autenticità dell’aroma, l’amore ed il rispetto per il proprio territorio e la salvaguardia dei sapori regionali, stagionali e naturali. Excellent experience
An experience worth having
Beautiful location, friendliness and helpfulness from all the staff, everyone was very nice.
Nice tour of the cellars and vineyards.
It's a shame there was so little time available, due to other concurrent events, that we couldn't delve into the subject deeply and calmly.

Augusto is a wonderful person, truly passionate about his work, carefully explaining to us all the processes they carry out at the company.
We felt like we were one big family, even with the other people in the group.
The food was delicious and the wine, needless to say, so many varieties, sparkling, whites, reds, rosés, all of excellent make and quality.

The visit to Cantine Zuffa is much more than a simple tour: it's a true journey into the world of organic wine, made of passion, tradition, and innovation. Augusto welcomed us like special guests and opened the doors to his world with a truly rare helpfulness and expertise. He managed to convey in an engaging way all the love, dedication, and study he puts into his work every day, making us fully understand the value of organic winemaking.
The tour was interesting and well-structured, and the tasting moment was truly extraordinary: a rich food and wine journey, with attention to the smallest details, featuring organic, genuine, and delicious dishes, perfectly paired with a wide and surprising selection of wines. Every taste told a story, every glass was a discovery.
You can clearly perceive the quality of the raw materials and the attention to every single detail, both in the food and in the wine.
We will definitely be back to visit Augusto, maybe adding a seat at the table ;)
