La Comissaria
About the Winery
La Comissaria is the winery founded by Samuele Merotto a young and dynamic project born from the desire to breathe new life into a precious winemaking heritage. The winery was reborn in 2007, inspired by the teachings of a true master: Giovanni Battista, Samuele’s grandfather, who passed on his passion for the vine and the land with dedication and love.
Set among the rolling hills of Col San Martino and the surrounding Valdobbiadene DOCG area, La Comissaria embodies the perfect balance between tradition and innovation. Every vineyard is cultivated with care and respect, following sustainable practices that preserve biodiversity and protect the natural bond with the land.
Our wines are crafted from hand-selected grapes, harvested manually and vinified with artisanal precision. Each bottle reflects freshness, elegance, and authenticity a genuine expression of our territory and its story.
For Samuele Merotto, the philosophy is clear: transforming tradition into the future, creating wines that speak of passion, roots, and emotion. La Comissaria is more than just a winery it is a vision that grows year after year, grounded in its heritage yet open to the world.

The fine, persistent perlage enhances its lively character, making it the perfect companion for aperitifs and refined dishes.

La Comissaria is passion for real Prosecco
We wanted to visit the vineyard and discover the entire process, from the grape on the vine to the uncorking of the bottle.
Fortunately, thanks to the visit to La Comissaria and meeting Gaia and Samuele, we found just that.
From the moment we arrived at the winery, everyone was incredibly welcoming.
We went into the vineyards and, in addition to admiring the splendid landscape, Samuele shared with us the passion with which he works the land, just as his grandfather had taught him.
We understood the commitment that is required of small winemakers in the mountain area to compete with the large lowland companies.
But we understood that this effort would be worth it when we tasted a Battista Prosecco from their winery right there, in the vineyard.
Drunk in such a setting, I must say that its flavor was heavenly.
After our walk through the vineyards, we returned to the winery and enjoyed other types of spectacular Prosecco, paired with extraordinary cheeses and high-quality artisanal cured meats.
In short, if you are lucky enough to travel the Prosecco Road, I highly recommend a visit to this winery; you will not regret it.
And take the opportunity to buy some of the fantastic wines produced by Gaia and Samuele.
Unfortunately, I couldn't bring any bottles with me on the plane back home.
Try the Battista Prosecco in the vineyard and finish the bottle by tasting the bottom, the sediment that gives it a flavor you won't find anywhere else.
