Tenute Girolamo

This is the second time I've returned to Tenute Girolamo (the first time for Valentine's Day with the Premium formula and this time for my father's birthday, opting for the VIP experience).

I confirm the extraordinary quality of the wines, always excellent, and the beauty of the place. A special round of applause goes to the girls who followed us during the tasting: they were simply exceptional, wonderful, super competent, and endowed with great empathy. We had arrived an hour ahead of the scheduled time and, seeing us under the hot sun, they immediately made us comfortable in the cool with air conditioning, showing disarming kindness.

Regarding the VIP experience, however, I have a note to make: the description mentioned a "light lunch", which I expected to differ slightly from the classic cold cuts and cheese tasting (perhaps with a plate of pasta or something extra), given that we were tackling as many as 7 high-alcohol wines. In fact, we received the exact same platter as the previous time with the Premium. Having 7 important wines to taste, the girls themselves, realizing the situation and our need to better accompany the alcohol content, took care to bring us an additional platter, once again demonstrating their attention to customers.

If I had known that the difference between the VIP and the Premium lay almost exclusively in the number of wines and not in the food proposal associated with the "lunch", I would have opted for the Premium formula again. Precisely because of this small disappointment related to the meal description, my rating stops at 4 glasses, despite the winery and staff truly deserving the maximum for the care and professionalism with which they welcomed us from start to finish.
If you do not have a kitchen to offer a real 'lunch', I still advise you to enrich the gastronomic offer of the VIP formula (given that you taste as many as seven wines of character) or to update the online description to be more transparent.

I gifted this tasting to my aunt and uncle for their anniversary, it was excellent from all points of view. Simplicity in the booking process, exquisite welcome, wonderful wines and paired food.

I visited the winery with my boyfriend to spend a different kind of Valentine's Day, and it was truly a beautiful experience.
Despite it being a rainy day, the atmosphere was welcoming and pleasant and we still managed to enjoy the tour and the tasting.
We liked the wines a lot: we bought several to take home, and we were also intrigued by others we hadn't tasted, so we got them. It was nice to discover new flavors and to better understand the work that goes into every bottle.
My boyfriend has also taken a sommelier course and who better than him could teach me a few little tricks to best taste an excellent wine from the winery! It was a special moment to share together.
During the tour there was also a very kind gentleman who explained many interesting things about the wines and production, although unfortunately his name escapes me now.
No particular suggestions, we had a very good time. Next time we would like to try other wines from the winery.

Many blends, only one DOCG, qualified, expert, and courteous staff; the only drawback: little discussion about yeasts and organic compounds.
Tastings are clearly aimed at tourists, they should also focus on vineyard tours, tastings among the vines, and tastings more focused on the wine and less on food pairings.

A unique experience in one of the most beautiful wineries in Southern Italy! The welcoming and knowledgeable staff showed us the different production phases to get to the final product. A unique and very tasty experience.

We toured their wine cellars, we received relevant information then we tasted 7 of their wines, each accompanied by local charcuterie and cheeses.
The people there are welcoming and super nice. We highly recommend them!!!

The guide was nice, the domain is beautiful, the appetizers as good as the wine.
