Magnificent experience among the vineyards
We booked the tasting with some friends, when we arrived we weren't expecting such a spectacular place. The property is immersed in the hills of Volterra surrounded by the company's vineyards. We started the tasting with a visit to the winery. During the wine tasting we also sampled some local specialties produced by local companies, truly delicious. Great attention to production and to organic methods, definitely a winery that holds the entire production process in high regard.
The tasting went on longer than expected because our questions and curiosities were answered. A truly beautiful experience

A delightful experience
After a slight bump in locating the tasting venue, our morning
got better and better.. Martina is a naturally warm host, and she told her families evolving story of Tenuta “La Pergoda” with well deserved pride. After a month of wine tasting in the French region of Beaujolais, we were very impressed with our first winery vist in the Italian Asti region. TLP make a wide number of wines (20?) and the one white and four reds we tasted were ALL excellent. Our only frustration was that coming from New Zealand, and because we have many more visits planned, we cannot be buying wine to put in our luggage. The wine pours were generous, as was the platter of cheeses, salami and other treats, and we left deciding we could should skip lunch. A highly recommended visit, and as an extra treat they produce some excellent Grappa.

A… Genuine Tasting
I should preface this by saying I'm a novice and this is one of my first wine tasting experiences. From the moment you arrive, you feel a very homey and welcoming atmosphere. Very good wine accompanied by high-quality local products. Especially noteworthy was the suggestion to try the same wine from different glasses: a truly interesting and intriguing experience; at times it seemed like drinking a completely different wine. Finally, you can really feel the passion and dedication that Luca and his collaborators put into what they do.

Excellent experience
We had lunch at the Marrone winery, choosing the set menu option (3 appetizers, a choice of a first or second course, dessert and coffee all included) with the addition of a 3-wine tasting. The food and wine were of excellent quality. The staff was also welcoming, helpful and competent. The restaurant also has a splendid terrace with a view of the surrounding hills.
