Tasting
We arrived and Guido was waiting for us.
We tasted 2 Chiantis, one classic and another Chianti Gran Selezione; both were exquisite.
Then he brought us a board with cheeses and cured meats, pâté and honey, accompanied by breads.
To finish he served us a 100% Merlot and another Cabernet Merlot, which were IGT (Tuscan wines); both were excellent.
Guido was very kind in his explanation and chat, luckily he spoke Spanish very well and it was easy to communicate and get our questions answered.
Highly recommended experience.
The castle scenery was beautiful too.

Thoroughly enjoyable exprience
Our group of four had a thoroughly enjoyable experience at our wine and food sampling experience at Baglio Bonsignore. I'm not sure if it was because we were there "off season" (late May) or because our group was small, but the personal touches and attentive service were excellent. AND the wine was excellent, sampling their white, rose, and red. I must admit, I'm not a fan of dry whites, but those in our group who were, thoroughly enjoye their white. As far as their Nero d'Avola is concerned, it was definitely my favorite. And we ALL liked their rose. Since I've been able to buy and ship some of their wines home, I expect I'll maintain contact with this winery, thus leading to future visits. Yes, I would thoroughly recommend this experience to anyone traveling in their region of Sicily.
