In 2020, Weingut Poth proudly celebrated its 100th anniversary, marking a century of dedication and passion passed down through generations. Nestled in the charming town of Röttingen, in the southernmost corner of the Main-Franconian region, the winery is surrounded by the picturesque Tauber Valley. The town itself, with its medieval walls, seven defensive towers, half-timbered houses, and an elegant baroque town hall, offers visitors a glimpse into the rich cultural history of this romantic corner of Germany. The winery’s vineyards are located in the "Röttinger Feuerstein," a unique and renowned vineyard that offers not only the ideal terroir for viticulture but also beautiful hiking opportunities. Weingut Schmitt, nestled in the scenic Franconia region of Germany, has a long family history in winemaking. The estate was first established in the mid-1940s when Ernst Schmitt began cultivating grapes on one-third of the land he inherited. His dedication was carried forward by his descendants, with Manfred and Helene Schmitt expanding the winery in 1974 by purchasing property in Bergheim. Today, the winery is managed by Anja and Frank Schmitt, who continue the family tradition with 30 hectares of vineyards across key regions like Bergtheim, Thüngersheim, and Retzbach. They cultivate a variety of grapes, such as Silvaner, Bacchus, and Müller-Thurgau, along with premium varieties like Gewürztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc. The winery emphasizes natural, eco-friendly practices to protect the region’s biodiversity and ensure the highest quality wines. Their portfolio includes red, white, rosé, sparkling, and dessert wines, all aged to perfection in French oak barrels. The commitment to sustainability is further proven by their EcoStep Wine certification, which recognizes their compliance with environmental, health, safety, and food standards. With attention to every detail in the winemaking process, Weingut Schmitt continues to produce exceptional wines that reflect the family’s dedication and expertise passed down through generations.

The Winery Alte Grafschaft is today owned by Christoph Dinkel & Norbert Spielmann, two wine enthusiasts who take care of the 11 hectares of vineyards, mainly in steep hillsides. The Varieties are Pinot Noir, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, and some other typical German vines, like Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Bacchus & Scheurebe. The Building with its historic court is from 1594. Here in summer, you are always welcome to bring your food (Pick Nick) and we will serve the wines. But also during wintertime, you can enjoy and taste our wines in different tasting rooms. After taking over the winery in 2009 and a lot of renovation, as investments in vineyards and cellar, we were very proud to receive the award "Discovery of the Year 2014" by the Gault & Millau Wine Guide, the leading Guide in Wine in Germany. As we continue to improve the quality by working hard in the vineyards, we see our Pinot Noir on the very best winelists in German Restaurants. Our goal is to show that our wines from these very old vineyards which have existed for more than 800 years can be drunk on the same table next to the very best of the world.

WINERY BREUNIG – WINEMAKER WITH TRADITION AND PASSION. Our traditional Franconian family winery is located in beautiful Eibelstadt. Nestled in the Franconian landscape and idyllically located on the Main. The world heritage city of Würzburg with its many attractions is only 10 km away. In 1986 our parents and parents-in-law marketed their first wines. In 2011 we, Jürgen and Sandra Breunig, took over the winery. Having both grown up as winemaker children, the family business, as well as everything else that has to do with wine, is close to our hearts.
