Azienda Agricola DolceVera

Winery in Valpolicella, Amarone, Valpolicella Classica

About the Winery

When Marco Benedetti founded the DolceVera Winery in 2013, he honored the legacy of his ancestors, combining his grandfather’s vineyard with those of his mother's uncle. The name DolceVera is a tribute to his father, "Dolce," and a nun named Vera, who played a significant role in the family's life.

Situated in the Negrar Valley, part of the Valpolicella Classico region, DolceVera spans over 3,5 hectares of carefully tended vineyards. The vineyards are planted with traditional varieties such as Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella, using a mix of old and new vines, some of which are over 40 years old. The estate is dedicated to producing wines that respect and enhance the unique qualities of the Valpolicella terroir, with careful attention paid to every step of the viticulture process.

About the Wines

Villa di Negrar, with its clayey-loam soils, is the elite of a terroir famous for its wines of structure, power, body and alcohol content, well positioned by their austere and frank expression. austere and frank expression. The DolceVera winery stands in the basin that dominates the Negrar valley, kissed by the sun that radiates from the southwest. Those who question the territory to savor its signs and qualities will find in the wines of DolceVera the wines are a treasure chest that preserves the peculiarities of a vintage, of a climate, of a vegetation, of a climate, of a vegetation, of a geological structure like in an air museum, able to offer every year a new expression of the environment that hosts the vine. And in its oil the character of the countryside that hosts the olive trees.

A 'superior' tasting
Positioned in front of the valley, the new Cantina Dolcevera is a little gem inside and out.
Time flew by, from the story of the places, to the one about the winemaking process, to the personal choices, everything was truly interesting.
The owner knows how to put you at ease right away, he conveys the passion for his work and for the territory, and the resulting wine is proof of it!
And the fireplace is the icing on the cake.
We will definitely be back

Excellent experience
I gifted the tasting to my father and it was a very appreciated gift. The owner told us many interesting facts during the tour of the cellar, the vineyard and during the tasting.
It was very much appreciated by the whole family, even by those who don't know much about wine.
Great value for money, we recommend it.

It feels like home
During the tasting, Marco conveyed to us his great passion for the world of wine, inherited from his grandfather and his dad. A small-scale operation that puts quality and passion first.

Part of the location was under construction for the expansion so desired by his grandfather and never started. With a breathtaking terrace and the new part of the cellar that connects the old part with the new.

Excellent explanation of the wines, accompanied by local delicacies and a structured tasting flight.

Congratulations to Marco for what he is building, starting from his grandfather's dreams!

Unique experience
My wife and I visited this family-run winery and we were very satisfied. Marco, the young owner, told us in a detailed and very passionate way about all the various processes that are behind a glass of wine. The winery is expanding and in a few months it will be possible to do the tasting on a very large terrace with a view of the vineyard. We tasted 5 wines, each one better than the last, accompanied by a typical Veronese cheese and an exquisite Venetian soppressata. I recommend everyone visit this winery both for the quality of the wine and for the friendliness of the owner.

A very pleasant experience
A truly pleasant tasting, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, the time flew by between an explanation of the methods and history of winemaking and a tasting of their productions. The Amarone and Recioto were truly remarkable.

Excellent tasting
The owner welcomed us to his establishment warmly.
We couldn't visit the outdoor part of the winery due to adverse weather conditions, but he was very willing to answer all our questions, even the silliest ones, and he did so with great professionalism.
You can see there is love in what he does and this also shines through in his wines, which are truly exceptional.
It is a tasting of 5 wines (Valpolicella Classico, Ripasso, Superiore, Amarone and Recioto), all accompanied by local cheese and cured meat.
Everything was delicious! We stocked up!
