Fattoria Lavacchio

The Lavacchio Estate, nestled atop the hill of Montefiesole at 450 meters above sea level, is a family-run organic farm located just 18 km from Florence in the picturesque Chianti Rufina region. With a rich history dating back to the 1700s, the estate has passed through several noble families before being lovingly restored by the Lottero brothers in 1978. Surrounded by rolling hills of olive groves and vineyards, Lavacchio is dedicated to organic farming, blending traditional handcraft methods with modern techniques to cultivate wine, olive oil, wheat, and garden produce. The estate is symbolized by a majestic 250-year-old cedar of Lebanon, standing as a testament to the farm’s commitment to preserving the land’s natural beauty.

At Lavacchio Estate, we proudly produce organic wines that reflect the rich heritage of the Chianti Rufina region. As the first estate in the area to adopt organic farming practices, our philosophy revolves around harmonizing with nature. We use only organic matter to care for our plants and promote a balanced ecosystem where natural predators control harmful pests.
